I agree. But by the time you join the P.D. one shouldn’t t have to be “trained” to treat anyone decently. That’s the problem. The ones who do are duty bound. The ones who don’t are thugs with badges.

God already knows this. It is the humans who have stubborn and sinful and wicked hearts that will put up some resistance. God didn't just put every man, woman and child down here to go at this life alone. We are to be a community network of people helping each other out.

I love this so much. Capt. Hill's humanity and humbling personality is wonderful. I applaud Kenisha for taking the steps to introduce her son and the police to one another and have a dialogue about the possible behaviors of someone with autism. It looks like AJ is thriving and a true bond has been built. I ❤❤it!!

Yes she did the right thing. Great thinking. I would hate to think he got into any problems and the officers was aware of his condition and he got the worse of it.. all officers ain't their own unqualified psychologists, can't always understand situations and make the best and correct decisions.. it's not only about arresting folks, it's about being able to evaluate a situation...

I never knew my dad as well he left me when I was only 2 years old😮😮 but now I am 43 years old and still miss a father figure ❤️

The vision of this wonderful mom to find a POSITIVE way to prevent her son being poisoned by ugly stereotypes. This is a model for all parents. I love how it has blossomed into this wonderful thing.

The first time I travelled to the USA in 2019, I was almost kidnapped but out of all that trauma I met a family with a little boy who is autistic. We became very close because I had to stay with them for a week. His mom would leave him with me to be my comfort during the days and I as a teacher would give him lessons for fun. Fast forward to present day, he is now 12 years old. We talk daily on the phone. Although his speech is not clear, I fully understand him. I invited him to spend the holidays with me in beautiful Jamaica. He loves the beach and the Jamaican treats. He enjoys running outdoors and learning the Jamaican Creole. He said to me yesterday, "auntie, I want to stay here". Lol. It is such a joy to have him here. Sometimes traumatic events can bring people together. That is my nephew.

Now why can't we have this a hole lot more! We need this all young men need someone in their life who cares ty

Kelly probably wanted to but couldn't. I saw on the Ellen Degeneres show on a few other occasions she told the audience that law enforcement and government workers are not allowed to accept gifts/money. Later, Ellen found a loophole and she said she can give gifts to the officer's girlfriend or wife who does not work for law enforcement.

Doesn't matter how old, strong or wise a human being could be when a child offers a hug and ask for us to be there for them that's something the heart takes up to the last beat. What a beautiful story. The mother is a very kind and smart lady truly concern for her child life to turn out great!! ☝🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️

A mom of an autistic child is more in tune with that child's needs, I think. I believe this after being a pretty good mom myself and now watching what an incredible mom my daughter is to her autistic son. Everything is about him and whats best for him. There is no what can I do for me. I babysit him once a week to give her and her husband some free time. He's my precious little one and l love him so much though he does wear this old woman out. This mom is a great mom, hands down.💖💖💖💖

This made my WHole day!!! No every police officer on the force is bad. THere are so many officers that give their lives daily to serve. We don't pay them enough!!!

ALL children need positive influences/role models/mentors in their lives. I am so thankful that AJ found his. I tell everyone that it is incredibly easy to volunteer, with youth, on a weekly basis - Cub Scouts/Brownies, Sunday School/Children's Church, most Elementary Schools have Volunteer/Mentoring programs, Children's Hospitals need Volunteers, Little League/Pee-Wee - type Sports, etc, etc, etc. Adults just need to ask, commit, and put the Children's Needs first...these are some of the ways I have acquired so many around-the-way-adopted-half-stepchildren, through the last 30+ years. Thank you, Kelly, for the update and for, hopefully, inspiring more grown-ups to "jump in" to help 'our' children.

Keep praying over him while he’s sleep. Watch videos of kids being set free. My daughter is a living example. It’s a spiritual thing. Start speaking scripture over him too. Your son is going to be fine. Just do your best w him by getting him any care he may need & God will take care of the rest.

Whilst it would be great to hear this from your child, just keep in mind that its okay if it never happens. There are other ways your kids can show you that they love you

Captain Hill is a blessing and I wish he would be able to train police officers around the country. The humanity he shows is so needed in law enforcement. He is one of the few officers that seems to believe in treating folks like human beings. At a time in our country when we often see police abusing their power, I pray that his community realizes how fortunate they are to have him 🙏🏽

I live in Kansas City Missouri. I was ubering late night ks and got pulled over. I ben pulled over and got tickets at least 10 times driving and officers always been nasty. The officer that pulled me over and searched my car seen 2 empty shot bottles and car loud and I Also had a warrant in my city and instead of giving me tickets and arresting me he questioned me. He said “You a good person,just hurting”.He talked to me and PRAYED over me and gave me his # and RESPONDED .Til this day we communicate. He actually saved me from a dark path. Not all cops bad. ❤
