Everyone's first anime changes their perspective. I have been watching anime for nearly 40 years my first was valley of the 4 winds that I remember other then the Gundam stuff. The one that changed me as a person was Clannad-after story

Have seen plastic memories? I never watched chobits bet read the manga after seeing the anime review was good but the ending of a sexless union was a bit off-putting and probably just added to avoid controversy

@@Unapersonamasentretodas it definitely hits you hard in the feelings as do most of my favorites. Nothing wrong with a good cry. Clannad then Clannad after story is the most brutal I have watched it was a snot crying anime for me.
