One of the better backing tracks on youtube, at least something is going on harmonically and not just two chords over and over.

Amazing - just spent nearly 2 hours jamming only over your tracks! They are so useful trying out licks, melodies and technics. After a long long break of nearly 20 years I started to play again two years ago (yes - I´m old). Thees kind of tracks helps me a lot! Thanks for your great work! What about some tracks in the style of Neil Young? Like a hurricane, Cortez, the killer, Powderfinger, Southern man, Cowgirl in the sand - amazing basics for this kind of backing tracks - maybe just an idea :-) Thanks a lot - grretings from Germany!

Help me out here. I'm kinda new at guitar. It says 60 bpm and I can here the drum bumping along at 60 bpm but the needle guide on the backing instrumental seems to be moving at least at 120 bpm. What am I missing?
@Grunfeld
3 жыл бұрын
Ignore the visual speed of the needle guide, pretty much always trust your ears. Is this a slow track or a fast track? 120 bpm is pretty up tempo and dance paced (old skool disco not 140 bpm trance). But this is much slower than that, it's likely to be in the 60s. For what it's worth it seems to be 62 bpm. Close enough. Hope that helps.

In general. I hear right away that it's midi. But nevertheless it's a good track to practice on.
It's F7, isn't it? Not minor
