@@user-yz9ye6xp7q A bit of history for YOU. Cycling introduced to Eritrea by Italians. Indigenious Eritreans barred to compete with Italians. Is the winner you said from South Africa was discriminated like that? During apartheid era? The answer is NO. Because the winner was not subjected to any discrimination. Let's continue with the history lesson. Indigenous Eritreans learned the ART of cycling and became successful. It is very popular sport like religion there. All the coaches, mechanics, medical team everything is run by indigenious Eritreans. There is NO signle European or west/east countries who have participation in this sport. Hopefully, one day Eritrea will manufacture the only left item - high tech cycles! Believe me it will be done. By the way, west mixed cycling with politics and prevented a lot of talented cyclists to compete in Europe by refusing visa in the past. I think this will be enough for now.

skin color has nothing to do with it, it's not a disability, the real story here is of someone from a typically non cycling country taking on the best in europe in the biggest race and beating them at their own game, skin color is not relevant.

@@ianfisher7423 To racist it's a huge deal to focus on skin color. They don't follow MLK jr idea of how to see people. When I lived in Thailand, it was not hard to see how daily life, people were judged of darkness of skin & not ability.
