Jay-Z has practically been in the public eye in the music business for at least 24 years and now everything has truly come full circle for him. Money cannot buy the type of loyalty and respect that Emory and Jay-Z have for one another and big ups to the OG for finding peace and becoming a better man while behind the wall! It's so refreshing to hear inspiring words from a Black man that's so positive, progressive and forward thinking. Thank God & shout out to the breakfast club for this interview!!!

De Haven Irby I don’t know shit about y’all, but I know Shawn shouldn’t have left you behind unless you did him dirty. It’s either that or he’s just a dirty nigga who just gon’ cut ties when it benefits him. What’s fucked up for real is how people will AUTOMATICALLY co-sign with Shawn, no matter who his critics may be.....that’s that shit they say Beyoncé fans be doing. Muthafuckas are afraid to think critically, Fam or maybe they just don’t know how.

During Super Bowl 48 I had the opportunity of a lifetime to be in close quarters with Jay Z, J. Brown, O.G. Juan, and Desiree... As a super ROC fan my goal was to be cool and be humble and simply not to come across as a fan. The entire night (5+ hours) this quiet guy was there usually in the corner and sometimes in the middle of the room. I don't recall him ever actually speaking. One thing he was doing was watching. You could tell he saw everything. It was Emory Jones. I had no idea who he was but I knew all about him from the songs. One of my regrets is that I didn't speak. Wise dude.

Grew up with this guy. One of my best friends from childhood since the 5th grade. At 16 yrs old if you saw Twain, you saw Emory, you saw US cruising thru the streets in a Dodge Shadow back in 1989. Knew Jay, Headache, Half Pint, Panama all them NY dudes was like locals as much as they were around. His talk is real. Nothing like living and experiencing what he's speaking of first hand. Love and respect always bro. #GrooveCityMaryland
