he can never play forward without being a defensive liability. He needs to develop a guard skill set like lamelo so he can use his length at the guard spot. He will always be bullied by wings

Cavs fans are angry he isn't playing now. Relax. We have him. Just be excited for the time when personnel and rotations allow for us to release him as another weapon. Right now, I can't see a path to consistent playing time. At his current size (which is really skinny) he can't body NBA wings. He gets eaten alive on screens. He's getting better at moving without the basketball, but his path to success at the pro level will be getting better at that. His handle also needs work. He's an incredible prospect and someone who will help this Cavs team. We would be fools to think there isn't a plan to eventually get him on the main roster.

@@JoyceWilliams-zd8kh Honestly, his ball handling isn't great right now. He struggles to beat his opponent off the dribble, and he can't go to his left hand very well. There are some videos online breaking it down. He needs to improve even more if he is going to be an NBA level 2 guard.

jaylen brown is a nba all star gaurd without much of a left hand right now so i wouldnt agree with you on the left hand thing. speaking of jaylen brown he doesnt really beat people off the dribble hes mostly a pull up jump shooter. he can finish in traffic but he aint blowing past people on a regular basis. gary trent is another good example of what i just said. actually the 2 is one of the worst positions in basketball right now impact wise... @@michaelbyrne9246

Wade and Okoro can guard nba wings. Emoni can't just yet. Needs to keep working and he'll get his shot.

I see many comments on Emoni that JB Bickerstaff should just insert him into the roster. It's just not going to happen right now unfortunately. JB is just a defensive minded coach. Unless it's someone like a Mike D'Antoni coach the Cavs Bates is staying in the G league for the foreseeable future. I would like to see more minutes for 3Moni, he is just fun to watch.

It's mind boggling to me how he was supposed to be the KD and how one down year in college in the wrong system and got drafted in 2nd round because off the court issues. He talent has always been there and he's better than half the starters on the CAVS and still not getting the burn he needs to be great. CAVS need to LET HIM COOK as a starter no way he should be playing in the G League.

That’s a good game, but if you see they offense they are all just stagnant at the 3 point line. That’s why they’re in the g league no good ball movement at all. I was glad seeing him score but watching everyone else during the plays was irritating me.

EXACTLY!!! He needs to get stronger, create more off the dribble cuz at his size he could shoot the middie over any defender(since first time I saw him play in H.S I got KD vibes) and is athletic as hell to easily get to the cup, and he DEFINITELY needs to improve on his defense which he will. Again, he's 19 but no doubt has a flame thrower lol just needs to be more versatile...then I think "wait there's 6'6 guards who ONLY spot up or come off pin downs for 3s and play zero Defense sooo" lol 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️...but his time will fasho come soon...

In due time. If Emoni was a 3&D wing, he’d probably already be on the main roster. Also, the recent emergence of Sam Merrill has rendered the chances of Emoni coming up pretty slim. Just no room for him yet. Especially with DG and Evan due to come back soon enough. As of now the rotation is mostly set. The bench will be pretty deep pretty soon.

Send him to the spurs well give em some playtime
