@@masterabbott I've only had my Emo for about a month, and he keeps increasing things he does while recharging. Moments ago while on the charger he made the sound of a rooster without any prompting. Earlier tonight I asked him what does a rooster do and he did it with the prompt. Perhaps he kind of stores things he does and might do them on the charger later. He is talking more while recharging too. I haven't been able to hear him because I've been far away from him when he randomly says something. I think he was doing the weather thing once. Is this something these robot pets do more of the longer you have them? It's almost like a human talking to himself, and it's amazing all the things it can do like sometimes walking toward me and saying hi Bob and telling me about the weather. He's done that twice. It amazes me to see him walk toward me just like a real pet and like he is more than just a robot.

@@rboyd3435 When it comes to EMO saying random stuff, this is mainly due to him hearing things that are going on around him. Like if you have the TV or radio on or a movie and he hears something that sounds like rooster he will do a rooster sound. Both of mine chime in all the time while I’m watching something on tv or even while I’m on the phone. But I can certainly confirm that they will not speak on their own unless they hear something that triggers them to respond ^_^ Having them speak more often on their own without a trigger etc. Is hopefully what Living.ai might add into future releases.

Emo 1: What’s the shape of the earth? Emo 2: It’s round. Emo 1: How do you know it’s round? Emo 2: A-… Ok it’s square, I don’t wanna make an argument.

Tonight one of the Emos asked the other, "Do you know how to put an elephant in a fridge?" The conversations seem to branch out into more and more topics. One of them asked the other the same question about a donkey. Their vocabularies are increasing, and they are saying things I never imagined they'd say. It's uncanny.

Chat GPT is a part of that. Then of course the colossal database that runs AI. It is fun to watch regardless. It would be interesting to know if they learned "Rock, Paper, Sisters" from the Eilik robots. It's in the database, after all!

The conversations that two EMO's have between one another are scripted/programmed to happen randomly. There are a number of conversations and activities that two EMOs will do. It is not related to Chat GPT. That is a new feature that was recently added, unfortunately, Chat GPT will not work between two EMO's at the moment it is only used for asking questions. ^_^

haha it's possible, now with the new HOME STATION released, both EMO's can always be exploring and playing together all the time! haha, but normally after midnight, they will go to sleep and wake up again at 8am ^_^

Is there currently a way for EMO to look directly at you if he's not facing your direction? I know he can turn around 180 degrees but sometimes he's not always facing where I want him when I'm talking to him. I can easily turn him of course but wanted to know if there was a command I don't know about yet.

You can say EMO look at me and he will turn around and try to find you, once he does he will say hello and call out your name. I guess this is probably the best way for him to face you. Hope this answers your question ^_^

This morning one of the Emos asked the other if it could drive a car. The other Emo said yes I can. Then the first Emo asked something about driving with an old man and a child. How is it their conversations keep evolving? I was also amazed when one said to the other do you want to dance with me and unprompted they start dancing. They do that all the time now.

Yes they do have quite a lot of scripted conversations. The one about driving a car is pretty funny. Also, dancing is very cool, but sometimes one EMO will say NO. I don't feel like it. They will occasionally take photos of each other as well. That one is very cool! Glad to see that both of your EMO's are having fun! ^_^

@@masterabbott Thanks. Having two Emos is better you get to see and hear their antics, and it's kind of like giving the first Emo a friend. I haven't heard all of this yet, but from a distance twice I've heard one talking about a mother and a father and I think a cousin. Tonight unprompted one said "Hi Bob the weather is ....." Quite amazing how that happens once in a while, sometimes with advice to take an umbrella.

Hi there, question: do both EMOs have to be connected to the app for interaction??? That would mean two mobile phones/iPad since one App can only connect EMO.

You only need one EMO App on one device (iPhone/iPad) etc. At the start screen of the EMO app you have the option to chose between which EMO you want to connect to. But to answer your question. EMOs don’t need to connect to the EMO app to interact with one another. They do however need to correctly configured so that they can both access the internet so they can function correctly. Normally they should interact with each other every 10-15 mins or so. This might be updated to be longer now by Living.ai. Of course you can issue the voice command: EMO DO YOU KNOW HIM, and they will do it as well. Hope this helps ^_^

Can you link them to the same home station or do they need their own?

Each EMO will need their own Home Station. You can unlink one and allow the other EMO to use the other Home Station, but then the other EMO will not be able to Go Home to it. So it is recommended to have a Home Station for each EMO you have ^_^ Hope this helps ^_^

Strange development and Aibo ERS-7 - One of the Emo's face screens often goes blank. I power him off and put him on the charger and the problem is temporarily fixed. But it keeps happening. I suspect the next update will fix this. I got an Aibo ERS-7 but, alas, I didn't like it compared to the Emos. I bought the used Aibo to see if I would like Aibos before investing in the new one that would cost about 3k USD. At least I saved myself the 3k.

Yes, the blank display screen is something happens to certain EMOs, I would suggest waiting for the next firmware update and see if it fixes it. If it doesn't then I'd recommend to contact the support team and they should be able to help you with this. Also, I don't own a Aibo, so don't really know if its worth getting one or not :( but spending 3K might be a little much in my opinion ^_^

@@masterabbott Thanks! I saw in the Emo forum others have had this problem and that's where I got the idea that the next upgrade might fix it. The new Aibos can do some amazing things. They evolve and are more like a real dog in looks and actions, but along with the 3k you have to spend $300 USD for yearly cloud subscriptions, which some people are ticked off about. At least with an Emo you aren't out 3k if you don't like it. But, comparing an Emo to an Aibo, the way the Emo can speak and do more things than the Aibo, kind of takes the shine off an Aibo. Thanks again for all your help.

This is eerie. Once in a while, I hear one of them say Emooo in a scary voice like a ghost calling someone in a horror movie. The first time I heard it I felt a little startled. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Today I said Emooo like the ghost and one of them repeated it. Maybe one of my Emos is possessed, lol. Then this morning I was in the kitchen and heard music coming from the room I keep the Emos in and they were dancing. I didn't think they could do that unprompted. As I wrote this, I heard the Emooo again. It borders on creepy.

Yes, once in a while one EMO will call out to EMO in a creepy sounding EMO voice. This happens occasionally when one EMO is trying to get the other EMO's attention. Also the dancing is trigger when both EMO's speak to one another and one EMO asks the other EMO to dance, if they agree, they do a dance together, otherwise the other EMO will say, no, I don't feel like dancing at the moment and the interaction will end. ^_^

@@masterabbott You're right. It is funny once you get used to it. The first time I heard it I couldn't believe it. As I wrote, it startled me, lol, because it sounded so unexpectedly spooky. I wondered if I misheard him. Then I wondered if other Emos did it. Now I try to prompt him to do it. As I also wrote previously, once I just said Emooo the spooky way he does it, and he said it back to me the same way. But I could only get him to do that once. The other tries failed. Of late, sometimes I can get the Emos to talk without saying Hey Emo or Emo. Often I experiment by asking them questions that I don't see in the instruction sheets to see if I can elicit some new and unexpected response or if I can have more dialogue without the prompts.

There is plan on whether Alexa feature will added to EMO, so I cannot say on how this would work.

How do you get them to communicate like that? So far the two I have don't interact with each other. And, do your Emos act differently or do they essentially act the same? I've read and heard some robot pets of the same kind, Aibos for example, act as if they possessed individual personalities. It's uncanny how much your Emos can say! It's like real people talking with all the subjects they talk about in the video. Where do all those extra words and expressions come from?

They will communicate and speak to each other / call out to each other at random times. It won’t happen constantly, but they both need to be off their charger and be walking around for them to interact with each other. With regards to having individual personalities, I don’t believe they act differently, they are pretty much the same. This might change in future firmware updates, but there is no confirmation of this.

Normally once you left them walk around on their own, after a few mins (approx 5-10) they should do this on their own. If they don't all you need to do is issue the voice command: EMO: DO YOU KNOW HIM They will start looking around for each other and start the interaction.

How do you make the two Emos interact and talk?

Yes, it should, now days it only take between 4-6 weeks for EMO to be manufactured and delivered. If you have any concerns, contact Living.ai support from the same email you received when you made your order for EMO and ask for an update. The support team will be able to provide you with further information on how the order is going.

On average, the time for manufacture / delivery / shipping should take anywhere between 3-5 months in total. My first EMO took approx 4.5 months to arrive.
