I want to thank you all for watching our comic dub of this wonderful web comic. I promise that we will have more when they're ready, and promise to do our very best when it comes to putting eyeballs on these comic dubs and Dominic's story. Unfortunately, as you saw from the memorial at the end of the credits, we lost one of our voice actors from the additional voices section. Jed Gillamac passed away during production just as his voice over career was starting, and we were so sorry to see him pass on. From the last time I spoke to him on Discord, I told him to expect some walla roles for episode 3, and he told he couldn't wait to do so. Sadly, however, he won't get the chance. Rest in peace, Jed. Here's hoping we'll work again in the next life.

Well... the robots are very advanced to the point where they are trained like humans, have their own dorms of sort where they can interact with other nannies and the well known robot deviancy is anknowledged (with the robot not only malfunctioning but also purposefuly disobeying order) Deviants (especially those who pose a threat to humans) and outdated/broken robots are to be reported to the human authorities. This is the classic "I, robot" or "Detroit: Become Human" premise.

I actually think the whole underlying dystopian-esque parts could have been executed better. I found the dialogue in the outmodes part a bit too forced even for a robot. It's a good idea, it just needed to be presented in a more natural way

I love the aesthetics of this; it reminds me a bit of the world of Fallout, at least before the Great War. I love how the teacher's name is Ms. Bradbury; that's a very clever little shout-out to Ray Bradbury, who wrote a lot of science fiction who dealt with subjects like this. Also, the voice acting of this is wonderful, especially EMMY's. She's so expressive despite being an android, which is exactly the goal of her, in universe.

Well Emmy try to eat marble and pretending it was candy if you were afraid something might happen.

I found out about this character from art on google. Emmy was...learning human gestures I think, and was giving the universal sign language of "Go away". Two of them, in fact. And amen for the KZread algorithm.

After reading this comic for a while, I love the performances here. Each voice fit perfectly with their respective character, especially for Emmy. The sound effects were also fun additions.

I actually love this way of teaching android characters, nicely i mean. Theirs no malice or sense of inferiority, even when discussing out dated models, they arnt showing amy obvious prejudice, they are simply stating fact that a older model without the robotic checks and balances could be a potential danger, which is true even if a little cruel in the assumption. Media is so constently flooded with humans treating ai like complete garbage than being surprised when it turns on them; this way seems so much more likely, humane and really well executed!

And the thing of machines turning on humans for treating them poorly when they do not even have emotions and are made to do what they are doing and nothing more than it is just stupid for me , essencially is just the West fear of actually paying for the suffering that they made the entire world pass for most of recent history disguised again, which is boring.

Thank you for not making a dystonic horror. So refreshing just watching a happy show with some social commentary

I can't wait to see more... I haven't watched a comic dub in YEAARS! The creator did an amazing job bringing that old Hanna Barbara style to life and turning it into their own thing, while the entire cast did an amazing job with bringing them to life! Paired up nicely with clean editing and genuinely funny sound effects and choice in music; seriously I adore everything about this...

I’ve never heard of this webcomic before. Yet, I am fully invested. This was really good, loved all the voices.

Good lord. I went from “Oh wow such a cute concept!” to wanting to sing “Which Side are you On?” in the soan of a few minutes

I knew it was only a matter of time before we got an Emmy the Robot series… and I’m here for it.

Even with the usual shiver of worry that I get from machines involved in the service industry, Emmy makes it sound so fulfilling and plucky that I'm just not seeing the other shoe dropping! Then again, when we're dealing with creatures of preference and perception like humans, _it's only natural for things to sometimes never make sense._ The earnest spirit of the Sterlings is endearing and sweet, and it definitely speaks to that real part of us that really wants for things to just be alright for a change.

I read this comic on Webtoons. Emmy is such a precc thing I wish I could have her.

I know exactly what will happen Emmy will see the suffering that other "outmodes" are put through, being discarded and scrapped like trash even though they show all the signs of sentience. she will become so fed up that she will protest for the outmodes to be respected and given rights, and that action will cost her normal life as she will be exiled from human society as she poses a risk to robot domination.

In the very first episode Emmy is shown to have empathy unlike other robots, and that opens a huge arch of development

I am hoping that there won’t be some kinda robot uprising and that these nandriods get treated with the best care possible these robots also remind me of the jetsons or the classic Nintendo R.O.B robot this was an amazing comic my friend

Last thing i need is how this comic somehow take place in the same universe as My Life As a Teenage Robot. It wouldn't be happen, but imagine how crazy that would be?

Everything feels so right, and yet it also feels like everything is going to go wrong any moment. Amazing animation!

Just by this first episode I can tell the end result will be great! Many or the voices are different from what I had previously imagined and somehow I liked that even more. My favorite is Emmy's voice, very fitting choice and acting imo. I also liked the announcer's and Mr. Sterling's in particular.

OMG coming from a guy, Emmy is adorable, I will keep up to any latest releases of this comic great job and keep it up I know burn out can hit any content creator but I know this story will be great through all the highs and lows, maybe one day automaton companions will be true🥰.

I really enjoyed this comic dub! All of the voice actors did a great job with this! :D I haven’t read the original comic, but I was half expecting a dark twist at the end there, like some sort of emotional tragedy that happens to Emmy, but I’m glad to see a nice, wholesome ending for her. With that said, I’m still expecting some “Robocop” vibes with themes of existentialism and corporate greed moving forward, not to mention some sort of emotional turmoil among our robot maid characters. Whatever the outcome is, I’m definitely looking forward to the next episode of this dub! ^^

What a fantastic project overall. The voice work was phenomenal especially the lead and voice of Emmy. The overall quality was good as well. My only critique comes to the audio balance. At times the music was too overpowering making it harder to hear the dialogue. I would either increase the dialogue volume or decrease the music volume. Overall very well done though.

Thanks for the critique, I really appreciate it. Even after my years in radio, finding the balance is a bit of a challenge. But it's a fun challenge, I'll give you that! Just got to get use to using the gain more often. And I'm glad you loved the voice work as well; especially Celeste's portrayal as Emmy. She'll always be Emmy to me when it comes to this production.

Back at my home at Bellevue, WA, I was drawing and comic book characters that mixes the noir, science fiction and mystery. The detective 🕵️ (human) and his best friend (robot) are on their case to save the city from corruption, conspiracy and crimes. I need more time to come up the ideas for my first comic book when it releases in the bookstore

I think my heart metled when watching this, good show everyone!

I love this, but I was constantly haunted by the feeling that something horrible was going to happen.

i looove this. i remember watching re runs of smurfs when i was younger and the vibe of the animation company was very similar to this. but i have to give this webcomic more props for more than its nostalgia. i love the writing and the nuance of it all. nothing feels cartoonishly evil yet, but i can smell conflict in the immediate future. also the voices are so pleasing and natural. HUUUGE kudos to the entire va team! y'all are spectacular!

I've seen nandroid related videos before but never knew what they were referencing (though I've always loved the artstyle), and I'm so glad I know now! This is such a high quality reading, excellent work to everyone involved in the production!

I’d personally just watched this til now and I have something nice to say. I’d loved the story playing out about a robot maid being a caretaker for families. That’s so adorable how these robots are there to help families. I myself am into robots and I’d loved how the original artist who designed them, they look so robotic. The plot was also very interesting and humbling. I’d followed that creator on twitter too and I’d loved your re-creation. He’s one of the artists that made me draw robot characters, he’s amazing. I’d admired his work.

This is by far…THE BEST DUB EVER..the voice acting is on peak point!, and the effects are perfect…THIS IS DEFINETALY OSCAR WORTHY!

tbh, I thought this series or at least this episode would take a dark turn at the end and show us something terrible or a plot twist, but it turned out to be so sweet until the end, and I loved it even though it was my first time watching comic series, and I loved every second of it.
