yeah, and how to play as one, how to pay attention to everything, how to build a mood together. They make music seem easy..
THAT WAS INSANE!!! Patrick is officially my favorite current saxophone player. Very inspiring for a young saxophonist such as myself.
After listening to jazz for more than 70 years it is SO encouraging to hear a group like this. Life goes on!! :))🥰
Brilliant! To be honest, at this point we expect nothing less from these guys.

totally. Solo was crazy
crazy to me how much the piano interacts with the solo, truly a masterclass
some of the best comping i’ve ever heard
I love how sweaty Yasushi Nakamura is. He's going all in.
Yasushi went fricking insane that was such a funky solo
i just don’t think we realize how much of a blessing it is to listen to those cats ^^
These awesome musicians brought jazz back to life
I loved Patrick’s face when Emmet started playing out, and then smiled when he took it back in at 6:03.
I Love Patrick's solo.. such a beautiful arrangement ❤
Is this the greatest hard bop quartet ever? Like EVER?!?!?!
I love the sly humor and lightheartedness of this! So fun.
Emmet went crazy on that piano solo!! All you guys killed it

agree... some of Emmet's hippest flow state, he's so good on these standards... the whole rhythm section absolutely destroyed that number and PB IS our Bird-man in NY
This is REAL JAZZ!!! Emmet you're an Amazing Artist and you have surrounded yourself with the Brightest and the Greatest. Thanks for keeping it REAL!!!!🎼🎶
So underrated Jesus you have to listen to this at least 100 times to hear everything that happens So much genius beneath the surface
This is the best jazz on the planet!
A masterclass!
Patrick is in the universe of the greatest jazz genius!
partrick bartley is easily my favorite musician to be on this channel. He is the best
YUP YASUSHI
Patrick Bartley is the new Earl Bostic ~~~
I've watched this a few times now and enjoyed the live stream last Monday. Emmet's solo is incredible!! Some might say he was in the zone but I'd say he went way beyond! Out of sight!
Man, this is so nice, Patrick has a touch of Benny Carter in this vid.
Thanks!
What a delighful little band and they played the verse as well as the chorus and do they swing man !

I feel like there hasn't been a legitimately great jazz act in a long time. Why? Cuz people lost the soul that was once put into jazz music that made it good. These jazzers thoroughly enjoy what they're doing. They enjoy it! And therefore they make us happy too. All the cocky jazzers of history, which there are many, produce cocky soulless music. These guys produce joyful and sometimes tear inducing jazz that is reintroducing much of the world to the genres potential.

@@connorbrien4086 There might be an age thing with jazz. When you're young, the whole world seems open to you, and a freshness results in your playing. 30 or 40 years later you might still play good, even better, learnt more advanced concepts, etc but something about that freshness is gone.
So swingin! Such a joy to listen to!
Honestly, there should be an extinguisher in this living room, it's fire every time ! Great job guys!
Benny Carter is smiling down on y'all!!!
Sweet!
Wonderful. Thank you 🙏
Frickin FIRE
Just so good. You guys have made my week
Génial 👍👏
This channel makes me so happy. I just sit and smile as I watch and listen to some amazing musicians. A joyful noise indeed!
Fantastic , absolutely fantastic.
killin as always guys!
Thank you! No other channel brings me such constant satisfaction. Kyle is still king! Patrick is one of my favorite guests as he fits well with the group.
Definitely swinging to Garland's take on 'Singing In The Rain'. Would be so good if you could cover her 'I'm Nobody's Baby'.
Great to ear your stamp on every Song you play. Amanzingly your own. respect.

Yes sir! Bringing lots of joy and merriment to all! A total thrill ride.

Patrick the next once in a generation alto player he’s about to be all up in the NYT giving talks at juliard and shit.
Great job gentleman! Thank you for sharing!
Just wonderful as usual. Did you know that there is a French version of this number with the alternative title: "Wringing in the Seine".
what a treat!!!
I so dig hearin' AND watchin' today's cats playin' the old songs
한국 비 많이 오는데...음악에서의 비는 현실과 달리 참 즐겁네...여기서라도 즐겁자...

Making great jazz fun
this gives me oscar peterson trio & stan getz vibes!!
I freaking love this group. Emmet, why not rotate your piano 90-degrees to the right so you can look at your guys without constantly twisting your neck? ;)
👍👍👍 😊 ✨
👌
The intro, up to 1:25, and reprised at 2:00 after the head... Never heard it before. Is this their arrangement or another I've not heard? If you know... Thanks.
