Considering the background that has been established with shadrach beating and abusing cain it’s weird that he was portrayed as such a comedy character, except maybe his first couple of appearances

I agree. Shadrach was similar to Jim Branning from Eastenders. Both old school comedy loveable characters, but with a very dark and violent past. E.g Jim abusing Max and Max's mother Reenie and Shadrach abusing Cain and Faith, both men being racist as well.

I feel sorry for Vinny for what he dad done to him

Paul was a waste of space and wished vinny would wake up

Tbh I can understand why Cain hates Faith she left Cain to get hit by Shadrach what kind of Mother is she?

Disappointed that they have only explored Shadrach's violent side, after he died. They should have explored it more, when he was alive. He was just a comical alcoholic in the end. The only time, it was shown, was in their first episode, when he grabbed Cain and threw him against a wall.

It was also explored when Shadrach was about to attack Daz (Andy's little brother), but Cain intervened and pinned Shadrach to the sofa and said "The days of you hitting anyone are long gone" to which Shadrach replied "I made you the man you are today."

Shadrach was a psycho😂🤣
