I noticed that too & wonder if Cowen/Cowan originally was Kirwan.
So interesting. I have Protestant ancestors from Dunlavin as well but they didn’t own land. It was a pretty rough place in the day…and then the potato famine hit.
She sounds incredibly naive. The world has never been only filled with delightful, good people.
