I too was a waiter and waited on a ton of celebrities. What many celebrities don't get is that if you treat your waiter badly, news spreads quickly about what a douchebag you are. What I don't get is that many actors waited tables so you'd think once they had success they'd remember what it was like and treat their waiters well.

Her natural upper lip was cute. I love that look, where the edges curl under. It’s so sweet.

As a person with a long face, I'm shocked at the amount of women removing the plumpness from their face as an anti aging treatment. They look so much older. Plumpness (a bit) in the face gives a youthful look. Luckily although I have a long face, I look young. During the times that I've gained weight, I enjoyed the youthful glow and suppleneas of my skin. Oh well. To each, their own.

I think it’s interesting that people would believe celebrities who have the access to the best surgeons - to create subtle differences over time (but still clear differences)- would rather believe that they’ve had no work and it’s natural aging. That’s just simply not that case whether it’s tweaks like a nose job, filler, reductions. It’s truly rare to see a celebrity that does “nothing.” What celebrity wants to give their fans the illusion that it’s anything but natural aging? I just wish the general public was less naive to these things - maybe part of why beauty standards can be SO unrealistic to the non rich and famous.

Exactly! But what’s sad is most people who say what you’ve just said would call you a hater for it, which is just not true. It’s just reality. I suppose it’s because those people who label the truth tellers as “haters” simply think less of anyone who uses their bodily autonomy to get cosmetic procedures (both invasive and non-invasive). They inadvertently cause others to deny procedures that they get, whether they are celebrities or your everyday person.

Emma was perfect and unique before and didn't need those slight changes that suited her face and made her unique. Her nose and upper thin lip was her signature look.

Something about the bony structure of her face looks like it subtly changed but I can't put my finger on it. She had a petite heart shaped face in her early 20s and then, I dunno, the shape of her chin changed to slightly broader and flatter and her jaw is slightly squarer. Can't see anything obvious but her face shape looks altered like she had a custom jaw implant.

Does no one notices how regular people’s faces change with age too? I’m not saying that she didn’t have work done, but my face used to be more rounded at the jaw and cheeks when I was in my 20’s, and now that I’m 40 I have more pronounced cheeks, and my jaw seems wider. Never had work done in my life, not even botox. People really need to stop seeing plastic surgery in everything.

She’s beautiful with and without the facial procedures. I did stuff to my face and body when I was my 20’s and 30’s and was so self conscious even though I was pretty. I regret some of it. The worst thing was getting LASIK surgery in 1999. Now I have worse problems with my vision.

Oh wow I had LASIK around mid 2000s. It’s the best thing I ever did. I was so blind. I just checked my eyes and it’s been almost years now and I still see 20/20

@@jazcc you’re one of the lucky ones! I found out the doctor too much off my cornea when 17 years later I couldn’t read road signs. I’m in glasses now and cannot wear contact lenses with because I have corneal ectasia. There are millions of people with LASIK complications.

my dad has asked me if i want lasik a couple times since i‘ve been an adult (30s now) mostly cause my older cousin had a good experience but i will always be scared especially cause i probably will have other eye things when i‘m older if my grandmothers are any indication

She is gorgeous, with or without enhancements. Part of her beauty is that she seems to be a genuinely kind person.

Im 34 and looking at me 18 Im a completely different person. I have never had a plastic surgery

She is naturally beautiful. Can’t understand why she would have any work done-well I do get it because of Hollywood. If she were just a regular person, she would be just fine the way she is.

You’re right. I saw old pictures of her much younger and had a shock, she looked so different and then had a lot of work done to look like the Emma we know. I wish she would have stayed that way, so pretty but now she looks harsh and strange.

I'm always so curious to watch these when it's someone relatively young and beautiful. I feel like I learn about previously unknown aesthetic "flaws" that were previously invisible to me. Like why did she get a nose job? I don't even really understand what happened in the before and after. And now I know that people worry about "too large foreheads." Who knew? And I of course love to play plastic surgery bingo as I watch: always waiting for that nose tip bulbosity and upper blephroplasty! It's so fun to say upper blephroplasty.

Please do Kali Uchis next! She looks very different even from 3 years ago, she claims she doesn’t have any plastic surgery but I would love to hear a surgeon’s opinion.

Been regularly plucking my eyebrows thin since i started working in 2009 but during covid, i didn't bother since i was holed up at home. It grew back like a weed to its previous thickness. I'm the same age as Emma. Maybe we're not yet old enough for it not to grow back, or maybe we're just lucky. 😅

Plus she probs got an eyebrow lamination to make it look more bushy if she did anything. Not to mention the power of makeup. Doing eyebrow transplants is not exactly….

Fallacy. Any menopause specialist will tell you that not only is it caused by hormonal changes, but the distribution of fat is very different in perimenopausal and menopausal women. My entire body type changed, not just the added weight. I went from a thin hourglass to an apple.

@@esears3996 😂 I don’t care what a “menopause specialist” says. The only hormone responsible for fat gain is insulin. The process goes like this: eat 10g or more carbs and hour, it increases your blood sugar, which then signals the pancreas to release insulin, the fat-storing hormone. Menopause is not responsible for gaining this fat, it’s the food you eat. As we age, our metabolisms slow down, and some of us become more metabolically resistant. So as I already stated, we need to watch what we eat as we age, as we are not able to process it as efficiently as before, leading to weight gain. This goes for men too, who obviously do not experience menopause.

These plastic surgery influencers (yes including the doctors) are reaching hard at this point. I gotta start my own series "is it plastic surgery or did the poor woman dare to age?"

Dr Gary, you spoke of the need of 'sunscreen' daily. Isn't 'sunblock' better when it blocks a much greater amount of UV rays? It may be that you use the same term for both in the USA? (I write from Australia). An Australian dermatologist told me that the sunblocks have a greater protection.

Any change is not always due to plastic surgeries. Sometimes, it's just a simple process that is called aging. That is exactly what is showing in the above two puctures.

If she did have anything done it seems it was more rejuvenation than alteration. She still very much looks like herself and that’s great. Kudos for not going overboard!

I think she looks stunning, and in my humble opinion, her changes are subtle and natural looking. There’s a lot of judgment around celebrities and what they do to themselves, and many go overboard and look distorted. It’s Hollywood and people need to remember their looks are a large part of their brand. Especially for women.

She’s always had a ton of makeup on, not until recently did she let herself REAL looks show (like her last two movies which don’t seem to have any makeup in many scenes so her truly unique features truly show, so much respect to her now) I think she’s always been average looking sans makeup (eyes wide apart, not a great smile, very pale with a lot of freckles)
