My mom passed away from pancreatic cancer this past year, was healthy as can be and then given 4 months to live out of nowhere. She was my best friend and I miss her so much. I know a lot of people probably think of this as a breakup song but to me these words hit hard. "When we said our last goodbye...I died a little bit inside." I am thankful to have been able to say goodbye but ugh we just weren't ready for it. Love this song and absolutely love this cover.

My mother died the same. But what got me was my wife dying months before. Searching for, as the song. God only knows the way.

The memory of the raw pain experienced when you are young and lose your very special love never goes away. I am now 75 and and listening to this brings back that scathing pain and emotion as though it was yesterday. It physically hurts.

Emma's version catches all the emotions because she paced the pauses in a very beautiful and amazing way and her voice is very very beautiful
