@@TheTasteBuzz where are you staying in Dubai. We’re staying at Anantara in Sept. but before that we’re visiting Florida in May this year. Can’t wait as it’s been a while without travelling. 👍🏽

The UAE requires a negative test within 72hrs. Do you know if that's from your deparcher time or at the time of arrival? For example, here in Florida it takes 24-48 hrs to get your results. So I would need to take the test 2 days before my deparcher, that would be fine for me to get on my flight, but would put me over 72hrs upon arrival in the UAE. Just wondering if you knew.

Hello there! That is a good question. It is from your departure time. We did 2 hour results, even though the price is much higher we didn’t want to risk not getting our results back in time for our trip. You should be fine now though, because at the time we flew there was a surge and they were not guaranteeing our results back within 72 hours. Have an incredible trip! If you have any other questions feel free to ask! 👍

“Passengers travelling to Dubai from all countries (GCC included) must have a negative COVID‑19 RT‑PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure. ... Self‑testing/Self‑administered PCR test results will not be accepted.” - This is from the Emirates website

Hello, thank you for your comment. We did need a PCR test before heading back to the United States. There are many places where they are offered in Dubai to meet the 72 hour requirement. You do not necessarily have to take it at the airport, but if I’m not mistaken it is offered there as well. I think it depends on the country you are flying to whether or not you need one. 👍
