Risk Disclosure:
Futures and Forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
Hypothetical Performance Disclosure:
Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below.
No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. for example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results.

I'm currently reading Al Brooks' books, and these recaps are like gold. After 3 years trading this approach helped me find consistency in the market. The recaps really help consolidate the learnings and help me see what I got right or wrong on the day. Keep them up!

I'm from Brazil I bought the large course from Al Books I'm on the 15th module I'm still a little confused but I'm going to continue studying I've been operating the Brazilian index for about 3 years I've already done some operations with the Al Books method I've made gains but I still have a lot to learn I'm consented to what it will be the trend of the day and I let a lot of good opportunities pass after it passes, then I see what could have gone down..

Was it good to sell the LH MTR even though the break of the bull trend line wasn't strong? Or was it better to stay out of that one?

My opinion ( I am a beginner): I think it only makes sense to get out of long. It looks like a low probability MTR to me. There is not much selling pressure, no touch of average price. But by third bear close, you should get short. 3 consecutive bear bars, bodies getting bigger, to me that's a sell the close.

It was a credible sell. The market had been going sideways for an hour and a half, and the bears were getting decent selling pressure. Also, the day was a trend from the open so 60% chance the day would enter a trading range for several hours.

@@BradWolff7 Isn't this a Trading range day ? Up , down, swing up and small down.

@@anishkumarg6397 It was a trading range day with many big swings up and down. Just look at the close of the day. Right at the open of the day, so you know it was a trading range day. This is not typica,l though as most days do not have this big of swings.

Don't get me wrong but I can't see the point or the benefit of watching someone repeating candle by candle what is already explicit on the chart. It doesn't make any sense by the logical point of view. In order to make money, one must make decisions and projections in real time chart. Why am I even saying something like that? It's rude from my part right? It's because internet is completely full of experts doing past chart analysis.

You can learn from the analysis and possibly apply it to a real time chart.

The point is one must be able to analyze the chart correctly after the fact in order to ever get to the point where one can analyze the chart in real-time. I totally agree with you, though, there are many questionable people out there, and you should do your due diligence on whoever you listen to. If you can see everything I discussed on the chart already, then great, next thing you need to focus on is being able to apply it real-time.

I’ve listened to hours of his stuff and it’ll sink into your brain eventually. Just soak it up and watch vids few times. I integrate trend Channels that help me stay in trades. Been studying for year or two and finally feel comfortable with daily market so it takes a while. Trend lines are your best friend used with alls rules. And no one realizes those green areas are all scale in opportunities. Once you’ve got 10 contracts without any heat besides the very last one buying on the dip, the money grows exponentially without risk. Trend lines keep you in trade and if breaks line just get out. It’ll always break trend line then retest or just breakout far away depending on if there were buyers or sellers stuck somewhere earlier in day. Range days die off because of this reason. Everyone got money back and won trades or broke even so flattens market out by end of day setting up for overnight or early hr moves.

I agree on most of it. It is good 'training' to see what happened after the fact. But, in real time, most of those trades would not be taken. This is obvious if somebody spent at least few months in the market.
