Em got me through some rough shit when I was only 12 years old, my parents drug use reached a high point and they split up and moved out of state to different states and left me with my grandmother who died shortly after. Then around when I was 14 I had to spend the next 5 years living with friends and on the streets of bay city michigan. The attitude promoted by his music made dealing with this reality much easier as I just ended up thinking FUCK IT all the time
