I think his biggest beef with pop stars was the fact that he was always lumped in with them, on the charts, on countdowns like TRL and VH1, award shows, magazine covers. They were worlds apart but in entertainment media he was presented along side them, instead of along side real rappers where he probably felt he shoulda been. That's how I always took it anyway. And I get it lol.

The Em and ICP beef dates back to before Em popped, and ICP had already started makin a name. Em was handing out flyers saying ICP MIGHT be there at his show. He didn't speak to them beforehand, so they rightfully felt some type of way about it. Then they just started slinging dirt back and forth when Em popped.

Mad respect for you for being real about it brother 🔥 Your little rant was necessary for me to see that there are still people out there who don't waste their lives living off proud being judgemental 24/7, who can leave their bias behind to acknowledge the real deal, for most people it's easier to just hate and keep hating no matter what, but in that process they miss the opportunity to expand their knowledge and actually learn something new by doing exactly what you did: leaving their bias behind. Life is all about acquiring knowledge, and to admit that you don't know everything and travel on a new field that used to go against your beliefs, it's a honorable thing to do. Peace✌️
