I’m a real Stan but I give a fuck. However, 2 things to keep in mind. Slim Shady is just using words in a song. I’m. The song Criminal, he used very heavy anti-gay rhetoric and words but these are just words. He later came out and sang with Elton John, helping denounce homophobia. But, on a real note, there is a REAL discussion to have about transgendered people in sports. This doesn’t mean we discriminate against those who are transgendered (which is what has been the immediate go to for most) but I agree it is not fair to have an all woman sport introduce their star player, a male in transition. This is happening on a fairly small scale but certain media groups do want to hype it up as if it happens every single day, everywhere. It doesn’t. But in the rare circumstances where it does, there does need to be some type of regulation that is consistent and not discriminatory.

Dude you should have watched Eminem’s guess who’s back video before this one maybe you could have understood it better. You looked a little lost for most of the song. I think those portraits on the wall in his room are all of Dre n not of his homies he’s lost. I agree with your stance on same sex sports but didnt want to hear it to be honest. This was more of a reaction to the video rather than the song, but hey you did mention the participation trophies…

I've been waiting for your reaction to this, and I loved it! As someone who grew up with Em, it's fantastic to see the callbacks to his old videos/songs/etc., and the acknowledgement that we're all getting old *ha*. Essentially, the point of this video is that Slim Shady has come into the future, and Em and Dre are initially worried that Slim will get them cancelled in today's environment, so they try to stop him. That ends up creating the mix of the two - which is kind of like what happens to all of us in life - we grow up, and we're a mix of our younger and older selves. EmShady - or Sliminem - is basically saying in that way we Gen-Xers are famous for, "I don't give a f what today is like - I'm going to be myself." There were lots of great callouts in this video - the Megan Thee Stallion line is fantastic - she got shot in the foot - look it up, and Em is saying, "Do I have a shot on a feat?" to mean feature on a collab...but also shot in the feet. The R Kelly diss is incredible - he took "Black Eyed Peas" and made it into "Black Guy Pees" cause R Kelly is, um...notorious for that. The whole meta of the video is around Deepfakes (Slim Shady in this video is AI) and how they're used to create things that didn't happen. If you haven't seen his video for "Without Me" ya gotta watch that one. This one will make a whole lot more sense :)

What saddens me is that perhaps this is the last album of this special person. Had to subscribe! I am 68yo now, and I can remember when my sons brought #EM home, and thought that this was music. Because I was a big R&B fan and I didn't do Hip/Hop! But fast forward 20+ years, and with the advent of #REALMUSIC, and #NF into my life and now I can't get enough of #EM! Our soft as ice cream society ain't ready for Shady! Great reaction, my guy! Participation trophies… kinda defeats the purpose. In middle school I was starting center on the basketball team. At 5’2” and 110 lbs I most certainly shouldn’t have been in that position but I worked my butt off and won “Best Defensive Player” and was in the top 3 statistics wise. I became 1000% more aggressive than anyone else and used my smaller size to my advantage. Volleyball I won more awards and track as well. Throwing myself 1000% into everything landed me on the rowing team where we won at Nationals. So I agree that you need to have the possibility of loss to have the fire to win. ❤

In my school we had "participation" Trophys which meant -Youre last place ? Cool ! Have a trophy that says excatly that !" Was like 12-15 years ago bit it still pushed me to become better. Run a Km, pause, run another one just to push yourself. But what do I know ? Im 35 and im getting called "Sir" on the constructionsite ! :D
