the absence of my father in my life taught me to walk away before ppl leave you. I hated him and loved him, asked myself why one would have such strong emotions for someone they dont know. Sometimes I thought he left because i was too ark. This year ive walked in his shoes, ive also wanted to pack my clothes and disappear. Now I understand how he felt and I forgive him. I forgive him. I choose not to run like him, I'll face everything and let God heal me. He is the greatest healer.

That last part; struggling to relate to God as a father. I totally relate! And for some reason it only became apparent to me this year. Every time someone said that God loves me like a father loves his child i'd just be thinking "So He DOESN'T love me???". Then i'd end up correcting the statement in my head and say "I think for me He loves me like a mother". It's only just recently that i made peace with Him being a father. A good good father. And i'm loved by Him. And that is enough.

  • @Angelina-zs3dr

Wow girl that is my story and the sad part is I didn't even grow up with my mother either so it's difficult to see God as a father or a mother. Maybe one day after seeing how my future husband treats and relates to our children I will then begin to see God as a father. Until then may God help me

I really tried not to have a issue with the 1st part of this comment but...I'm pretty sure she doesn't put out her art for you to judge and criticize even if it's positive critic.she is not looking for validation and she does not need it so you don't have to try and validate her .she's trying to get to our hearts. Keep your brain aside.what poets want to know is whether you got the message they were trying to put across or not. And certainly not if their intonation and arrangement was done correctly!! 🤦 And sorry, I might have crucified you on behalf of all such comments.
