@@shepskies Thank you love. I've gotten hurt so many times, so badly, that I can feel the loyal part of me diminishing. It's like I don't want to be this girl anymore. I don't think I can keep up with being loyal, honest, trust worthy and so much more. I've been this person for years, sweet and loving, kind and caring, but all I get is hurt, and it's hard for me to ever believe that someone will truly come my way and love me the way I need to be love. Sigh. There's this girl now, she been in America ever since I met her on the phone, she ask me to be her girlfriend almost there years now. She shows everything I would love to have in my life and I like all her flaws that she don't like about her self. So January the 9 2022 will be three years since we been talking and four years since we known each other. She's a Jamaican like me. The day she's leaving Jamaica is the day I found myself on app with her. But the distance is killing me, and with all the hurt I had, I'm having second thoughts. Sometimes I wonder if she's playing me, even though she told me why she hasn't come back here. I find myself not trusting anyone and it makes me keep to myself a lot.

There’s this part at George’s going away party where Emily grasps Sue’s arm and the way Sue looks at her is just so 😌😌 I feel like you could sum up her love for her with that look. The context of how they’re interacting with one another at that point of the series just shows how well the character and storyline developed. I’m going to miss this show.

One lesson we can learn from this story is :Family always comes first .We should appreciate the fact that our loved ones do their best to keep the family Rotherham and understand what they could be going through so they won’t have to give up hope.

I miss us in this story but sure you're happy now and here I am still stuck with the memories we created.

In both scenarios of in real life and the television show, no. This show's setting was during the 1800's so homosexuality was looked down upon and Sue remained with Austin despite Emily and Sue's romantic relationship. In the television, it's just the same, so no happy ending for either.

Yes, and gay men too. It's what they HAD to do. It was a different era in the USA. They married the opposite sex as a pretense, to keep up appearances. It would have been dangerous for them if they were to be found out. Being gay or Lesbian just wasn't accepted and definitely religious people would condemn them and it could cost them their lives. It is very sad that they couldn't be their true selves but they did what they could to protect themselves. Today some people are still hiding in the closet, in fear of being found out. Fearing the consequences. In other cultures there's still LGBTQ people living in secret, hiding their true selves as best they can otherwise they would be killed for it.
