Kesha was the only smart artist to be influenced by non main stream artist and one of only and first celebrity to do this genre. Trash pop auto tune pop rap, it's risky u will be called untalented for it. While others were still doing r & b, pop, rap rock pop and country. Kesha was first a list celebrity to do trash pop in 2009. Emily oosement dropped such music in 2010 she was more a list than kesha she had been working from over a decade. So that makes her ahead of time. Doing this genre hurted her career since Disney girls were doing pop and rock music which allows them to show their talent as a singer. And Emily oosement was not accepted, but eventually this genre was considered cool and artsy. But Emily couldn't enjoy it because when she recorded songs in this genre it was considered bad. She could have enjoyed moderate or even peak popularity by going rock or pop music. Her song all the way up was already a hit.

The most underrated disney star. Along with bridgit mendler. I've always liked them both. They have this wholesome image like hilary duff that most other disney alumni don't have

In all 12 years of this song's existence, the dissonant chord during "niiiiiiight" at 2:09 has always been my favorite part of the song. It's such a satisfying and unexpected switch-up, especially since the chord progression in that section is one that almost every pop song in the 2000s-early 2010s used

Back in 2010 I wouldn't have dreamed of seeing an EDM song in the top charts that was skillex. Now we have Major Lazer, Kygo, Diplo, and many others topping the charts, meaning a song like this would get way more recognition than just 7 million views (honestly I'm surprised at how small the view count is period).

This honestly one of my favorites videos, like ever! The concept of the video goes well with the lyrics and the music. Emily was so underrated back then because many believed she was just singing because she was just another Disney star, but many few people know she is actually very talented. Hopefully she'll return to music soon.
