Props on filming in ZELLERS. Thank you Emily Haines/Last Gang Records for being a part of making Canadian music fresh again. I have a huge amount of respect for what the record label is trying to do for Canadian music (I am forever in debt).

its funny, i get that exact same feeling whenever im in a department store - theres this bizarre, overwhelming sense of suffocation and death. lives leading nowhere but round the next corner, toward the next purchase. i cant even go to the mall, its too much.

This song and video is about the use and, subsequent misuse, of prescription medications. Everybody falling like dominoes ended up dabbling, yet no one ever notices. Because the prescriptions are always there. Others sold them for a wage, yet still ends up in the line falling like a domino.

Actually, according to Emily herself, it's about her (former?) crippling fear and anxiety of going into all-night pharmacies at night. The song itself might be what you said (the lyrics don't support the fear angle), but Emily was interviewed about the video and gave the anxiety angle as the inspiration for the video.
