“Oh god!” Emily Blunt is flummoxed by the question of how her friends would describe her. “Empathetic, I hope,” she says cautiously, her self-depreciation evident, “funny - and mean! No,” she laughs. “OK, go on, then - warm.”
Warmth is certainly a quality the 40-year-old actress exudes throughout her interview with Bazaar in the latest episode of our series, What You Don’t Know About Me, and one that has made her a household name since she began her career as a teenager, appearing alongside Judi Dench in a West End production of The Royal Family in 2001. Since then, Blunt has gone on to star in blockbuster productions: as a principled FBI agent in Sicario, a resilient mother in acclaimed horror film A Quiet Place and, of course, the stressed-out and now-iconic Emily, assistant to Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada.

Emily has a calming presence. Her answers/commentary during this interview were peaceful, inspiring, and grounding.

A person has never made me feel so relaxed without even trying. She must be an absolute delight to be around!
She has such a calming aura about her I feel myself relax when listening to her talk. She seems like a very lovely and warm human being I'd love to have a lunch and a chat with.

Down to earth? Only to an extent. She's very haughty in mannerisms, underneath the bonhomie, like Emma Thompson.

Emily Blunt is known as a British actress. She's down to earth, kindhearted, noble, patient and wise. She loves John Krasinski and her daughters. Absolutely the best actress in the world!

After much observation and listening, I’ve been unable to detect anything at all negative in this human. I saw her for the first time in a movie called The Jane Austen Book Club. I can’t recall much about the movie but I was smacked up side the head by her beauty and charm. I saw her later in Sunshine Cleaning playing Amy Adams’ irresponsible sister and was even more charmed by her humor. Have been watching ever since.

One of my favorites! I adore her ☀️ Great human being and actress, you can feel her beauty inside and out. But here… what made me click was the botox that I saw on her forehead on the thumbnail. The surgeon who did this is clearly not good. Sometimes we want to do a little something to preserve our beauty, youth and to see this is very frustrating.

@@luciawilliams2504 Gosh, I don't really remember, it's been soo long and years go by faster than you can notice. I guess I have liked her at least since 2014 as well, but likely even earlier bcs I believe Edge of Tomorrow and Into the Woods hadn't been released yet and I was specifically looking forward to watching those cause of Emily. She has been my no.1 actor for a really long time (untill Rebecca Ferguson came along so she is kind of my no.2 now), however not sure if I could call myself a fan as I haven't watched all of her stuff. I definitely love her a lot
