Hard to listen to this beautiful song without balling. Our church, founded by my father-in-law in 1987, my husband and I had to leave over 2 yrs ago because of the current pastor, a disgrace and phony. We sure didn't want to leave and this song resonates in every possible way. The building prior to our church was a bar and night club. My husband and I served there many years, our children, now grown with children of their own accepted Jesus and was baptized there. Many, many awesome memories, it breaks my heart that we had to leave. When you look at the preacher with disgust, it's time to go. I know it's just a building but 😢...

What a beautiful song!! For me, it was the Westside Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale, Florida that was my home church many years ago. The old church is still there and it's had some rough times, but it's the place where I not only was saved and baptized, but where I gave my life to preach the Gospel and where I preached my first sermon on January 2nd, 1972. I was ordained there in 1982 and sent out by that church to do mission work. But, when I go home on a Sunday, I go to that old building and remember by Dad, Mom and Sister who are all with the Lord now.

I absolutely love this song. I can't listen to it without tears running down my face. It's been a while since a new song came alone that really hits home. Like many others who left comments, I grew up in church. I think that's what makes this song so personal.

What an amazing song!! It gave me goosebumps when I heard the lyrics, because it’s literally telling my story…my great grandpa was our church’s pastor in 1942, and my mom met my dad at Vacation Bible School.

As a girl who was born into the church and have stayed all my life, I practically cut my teeth on the backs of wooden pews, took naps under those pews as a small child, knelt and prayed, and learned to wait on God and hear His loving voice speak to my heart there. Now as a worship leader and church musician, I love to hear songs that are pure and from the heart. I don’t know when I’ve heard a sweeter song! 🎶♥️

Our congregation just experienced the sale of our church building. My dads funeral service was the last one held there 6 months ago. My mind wanders over the dear souls that departed and were eulogized there. Baptisms in Jesus name and souls that were filled with the Holy Ghost...testimonies about the goodness of God and instant healings....its so hard to say goodbye to a building...in the flesh....BUT praise God were are told that Jesus is not housed in a building. We can experience him ANYWHERE!!! IM so thankful that Jesus is a 24/7 help in the time of need.

WoW! This song took me back to an old white building where my daddy preached. Wood floors, wooden pews & an upright piano that played Amazing Grace, Just As I Am, etc & big pot luck dinners in the basement with all the family, friends & so many who have gone on to be with the Lord. That old white building has been replaced with a modern brick structure but my wonderful memories of that old church can never be replaced. Emily Roberts; Outstanding!!!!

My granddad was our pastor when I grew up, in a little white country Pentecostal church, so this song hits me right in the memory and in the childhood. Cried like a baby. Well done ma'am.

Redwood Country Church for me in Grants Pass, Oregon. I listened to this at the concert in Tacoma, Washington for the first time. It made me choke up a little. Wasn't afraid to show emotion in a huge crowd!

My gosh, what a song, and what a voice you have!

The church where I started attending at a week old, through most of my adult life, and ministered as a youth pastor was once the world’s largest Sunday School with an attendance of over 8,000. It is scheduled for demolition on March 20. There is much reminiscing among former members and this song is so appropriate at this time. It was a building where Jesus changed thousands of lives.

I was raised to be in church, and like others I strayed away from doing the things God wanted me to do. I hope everyone else has been as fortunate to be able to help others, and especially when someone else couldn’t help themselves or not knowing how to get on their knees, and let God carry U , the way God has always done for me, and I sincerely believe; He carries us ALL!
