I was at this show. If the opening seems dramatic, it really was. The effect of the curtain dropping to the floor the same second the first riff from Eruption kicks in was fucking remarkable. It blew me away. One of the best concerts I've been to. The way they played Pirates that night I will never forget...

They made a lot of songs sound good on that tour, especially Pirates

Carl Palmer to Keith Emerson:"Be careful!" Keith Emerson warmly slaps the back of the sound board operator, smiling, as he passes by. Greg Lake loosening up the stiffness in his fingers before he picks up his first guitar for the night's performance Sweet, candid moments like that are the reason it's a joy to be backstage! :)

I saw this great show, but in Toronto. The curtain didn't come down for the intro, so it was kind of a Spinal Tap moment 😎 So grateful to have seen the 3 of them together. But even more greatful to have been there with my then future wife. I lost her in 2021 😢

A unique perspective few have the opportunity to witness! Amazing, and just goes to show that these genius musicians, are/were, after all, awesome human beings as well! They appear to share a genuine bond and enjoy what they do.

At 6:52, you can see Keith massaging his right hand, he was already having problems with it. So sad... And when the show starts, the guy at the camera is very very very bad...

I remember these shows at Radio City, was a real treat to be there, hadn't seen the band since 1977 when they were traveling with the orchestra. My wife was bored out of her mind until Greg played his acoustic numbers, she thought those were nice. C'est la vie.

Damn! 10 years guys???? Come out and play! I know yer all out there still. Saw them the late 70's with a six-pack of Heineken in my pants through "security". that's when every didn't hate anyone. Any way, ended up about 20 feet over Keith's right shoulder. I could see them all sweating, the veins bulging, and the emotion in their faces. and the sound was still very good. they/are true professional musicians that did it all. not like today's top of the pops, grey whistle dick or whatever crap. these gentlemen are/were amongst the most musicians in rock. i don't believe in in invisible people but bless them all to this day. Please go see Keith palmer's ELP Legacy tour. i'm sure i forgot the name but my four gray cells are multitasking even with a hyper thread! Peace all! \m/

Me too. Vancouver BC, Pacific Coliseum, Feb. 14, 1974. About 17,500 people , a full house. Massive BSS emblem draped from ceiling to stage when you entered the building. Pretty thick blue haze in the air. Show began with Hoedown and ended with Karn Evil 9 #3. Same set list as the WBMFTTSTNE triple album. That album was recorded shortly after the Vancouver show when they swung south across the border into Western USA. I saw all the big bands back then...Yes, Tull, DP, Aerosmith, Queen, Cooper, Supertramp, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Elton J, Who, Stones and others. ELP was by far the most impressive and entertaining. Emerson’s low note on the Moog rattled the whole building and the Quadrophonic sound was outstanding. The end of KEvil 3 was phenomenal, never heard anything like it before or since. One of the most memorable experiences of my life. Thank you to ELP and their amazing crew for all your work over the years. Rip K&G.

Tucson - February 22, 1974! I was at that show! 👍 20 days after I saw the Carpenters at the same venue, Tucson Community Center. I've often wondered who else attended both of those concerts!!

Robo Sapien From Saint-Saen's Third Symphony "Organ". Incredible piece. Great test of your stereo system--check it out from your library. Better yet, catch it live. He also wrote The Carnival of the Animals, of which movements The Swan is most notable, and Danse Macabre. Saint-Saens is well worth a KZread journey.

Nice video . but the crew member at 3:20 running with the Kabuki cross stage is just stupid - the whole audience sees him ! He should have just remained stage left out of view and gathered it up quickly Geez.

The opening, before the curtain up is: The tune main theme, of the maestoso section of Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3 in C minor (Symphony with organ) They were better in the 70s. Younger and hungrier. Less mistakes. A mistake somewhat to reform; as eventually it became "Love Beach" Nevertheless fine musicians 🇬🇧👍🇺🇸
