He went out of his way to make sure Seth and Mackenzie were taken care of. He also offered to help the boys when they were working on the radiator of the truck!! I can't thank him enough!!

Glad they were ok Pittsfield I'll. Is only about 35 miles from were I live thank God you all made it home safely.

Maybe Seth and Kenzie can get some time this fall to do some deer hunting together. They seem to naturally attract them. Glad everyone is okay, chalk it up as an adventure. Years ago, I hit a deer while returning home from work on my motorcycle. I wasn't hurt, but the trooper had to dispatch the deer (it wound up in the freezer). Have a blessed week and stay safe.

One trip for two turns into three trips fo six. 😊 I grew up on a farm in northern Illinois. Very rich farmland now all covered with concrete and subdivisions. I left for Wisconsin.

Always greener on the other side so the deer chances it. Always happens when least expected and what a mess. Glad nobody was hurt except the deer.

Most of us in Illinois are kindhearted people and will help out when we can, so sorry you had to come to our corrupt state

A blessing everyone is hunky dory. Deers are the worst enemy of moving vehicles. Amazed of how little damage was done. Today’s vehicles would be totaled. Now I’m hungry. Going to go eat some chicken wings and a venison steak. Again, glad everyone is okay!

I also am glad everyone made it home safe. Last November my wife was driving our 2013 Camry and hit a fawn following its mother. She was going about 50 mph and it caused $1900 worth of damage.

Glad no one was hurt, only the truck and the deer.

I had to smile at this video ,my pickup is setting 6 hrs away in ohio with a damaged rear spindle from wheel bearing going out on the ohio turnpike, towing company took our trailer loaded with a sprayer to their lot till the ford dealership gets the truck going, i rented a car to come home ,such is life, farm on!

Ronda As a former driver of a Semi I have seen trucks hitting a Deer and actually taking off the entire Front End and destroying the windshield So in your case I say that the truck faired out pretty well and can be repaired Can’t say much about the Deer. lol keep us posted on the repair of the truck My prayers are always with you 😊

I had a similar experience. I was picking up my brother from camp about an hour from Saskatoon. As I was passing an oncoming car someone threw a beer bottle from the other car. It punctured the radiator. (My father came with an uncle to pick us up.) They squeezed the tube shut on the radiator. Then they loosened the radiator cap. The leak was stopped. It was evening so it was cool. It was not a deer but a beer bottle. . . . You will now have a story to tell your grandchildren.

It must have been a big deer to bend the metal bumper like that. You are real farmers because you are interested in what other farmers are already doing in the fields.

It's a very nice spreader for 20 grand or whatever it costs to get pickup home and repair it and make 3 trips to MO!

One of my neighbors had a deer run headlong into the driver side door. She lost control and ended up in the ditch. She looked and the deer was standing right there looking in the window like he wanted to say "Sorry, you okay?"(she was)

That's why our vehicles in Saskatchewan have bull-bars or 4x4 front bumpers included headlight protection. Just ordered a new one from ARB, but Herd got some nice ones too. Exhausting trip and what a bummer for them. Bright side; no injuries except the deer. Is the truck a write off?

Here is a thought that could benefit the whole family. It may take time time to think if it is worth it. Buy a wrecker at a auction. Could be used to retrieve a family vehicle,could pull out tractor stuck in mud that has to be lifted and pulled at same time. You have trucks and a trailer, but when coming to hoisting and pulling at same time,not very functionable. Also could be used as a side business for one of your sons (be there own boss) Oh,by the way makes a good tool for lifting on something as you work on a piece of equipment and not tie up the large excavator. Winch & boom from the wrecker together perform many good tasks. All in one universal equipment. Hop in and go with stocked tools. Speed up the system with less down time and having to hook up a trailer.

Free hunting trip for Seth down here in TN. He's a freaking deer magnet!😂

Glad to hear everyone was OK. Them dang deer can sure make a mess of things. I hit one 2 year's ago in my little Mitsubishi outlander a week after paying it off and totaled it. Dumb luck I guess.

i am a big fan of dodge with the cummins but have to say that is a big down fall for them the rad and other coolers are out in the wide open and super easy to get hit good thing is nobody got hurt

Good thing no one was hurt (except the deer) 😅. I was driving with my dad headed to the grocery store in November 2022 and a deer sprinted across the street suddenly. Almost hit it.

Years ago we hit a deer coming back from walking the track at our high school in our old Oldsmobile cutlass and it ended up as the car sailed around and around and in the ditch.

Thankfully, the deer wasn't jumping at the point of contact or else they would have had an extra passenger in their front seat. It's always a good idea to put Deer Crash Bars N Grills on our trucks. *They'll save alot of truck damage and more importantly lives.*
