it’s crazy that ppl are complaining about the length. everytime i thought it was about to end it would keep going and I found myself relieved lol. It was insane and uncomfortable and painful yet hard to look away. The detail was impeccable. There’s just so much that goes into films like this one and ppl who can appreciate that just get it.

Saw the film a few days ago, and it keeps getting richer the more i think about it. I think unfortunately it's not for most general film-goers who want an easy entertainment romp and will easily misunderstand what Emerald is getting at, which is...A LOT to say the least. I keep finding that people's reactions to the film are more telling about them than the film itself.

I loved this film so much, I cannot wait for it to come out on streaming/DVD in future to deep dive further in, because there's lots of little details and Easter eggs hidden that you can't possibly notice on first watch! (Anyone else clock the doppelgänger scene?)

The detail of the live strong bracelets actually hurt. They ruled the world 😂 One of the most entertaining and gorgeous films ive seen in a while. I feel like we are in dire need of more films set in the grotty uncomfortable british past. More films that have a truly fantastical, horrific storyline. More films where we are left baffled, not knowing whether to cheer or boo. Its shaken up cinema, shocked people, got people talking and not just a bit of gossip, people are discussing it at length! She put so much work into the details and im going to be rewatching it asap so I can analyse all of her many layers of detail. ❤

Very fun movie, but people really suck it off and act like its way deeper than it is. Very predictable plot, and the writing was very ehh, especially the ending. You expect me to believe Elspeth can and would just sign away everything to Oliver? This would raise major concern amongst her friends, lawyers, and staff, I had to really suspend disbelief and just ignore this bit. However Rosamund Pike, Barry Koeghan, and Jacob Elordi absolutely crush it as always, and the cinematography and attention to detail was great.
