I’m proud to say I was raised by the guitar player of this band… he’s an amazing father😎 my uncle is the drummer, and my other uncle is the singer. They are the real deal. I might be a little biased, but they’re my favorite!

Brother... How many albums did they release ? I can't find many more from this band... The music is out of this world in every sense of the word..

I was the program director at a little Christian radio station in Atlanta Georgia. I started a show called White Metal Explosion. I guess the band sent us a few copies of this album. I remember being throughly impressed with the quality and mix of this project without the help of a major label or money behind it. Emerald was a great band! Good memories!!

I've known these guys for years! In fact, I used to go to a Bible study that Dave would have at his place on Friday nights! An awesome band!

I missed this too, it's like holy soldier.. my all time favorite are Jerusalem and Resurrection Band. Jerusalem has a new CD out, well Swedish version released now first, English version is being vocaled in right now.. I know... ulf christiansson is a friend of mine I've known 43 years now.

Represent Fontana ca ...emerald was Stryper before styryper ...the guitarist sold me strings at the pawn shop on Sierra ..used to ride my bicycle from Rialto to get to his store for strings ...good dude let me play every guitar there and told me I reminded him of Eddie Van Halen ...I saw him play these tunes live in San Bernardino off of e street ..these guys were fantastic ...the music hit you square in the face put on a good show and blew orchid out of the water ...the right people will know what I’m saying ...

Dave Enos was my guitar teacher way back..I remember watching him play thinking..how does somebody get that good!

I don't really like the label "Christian Rock", but I know its importance to the identity of many young people (it was important to me that it suffered as a teenager, because the people of the church did not accept me as a rock fan, and the people in the rock 'n' roll scene always despised the fact that I was a Christian). But this band transcends the religious concept a lot, this Rock n' Roll is killer!

This is killer. Better than many bands of the day that made it big.

I grew up in Los Angeles and I have always lived CA. I loved Metal since I first heard Metallica in No Life Til' Leather era before Kill came out. I listened all the Metal stations including the Christian ones during the 80's. I have been listening to Metal ever since 1982 when I was first exposed. I'm a Christian Metalhead. I loved Deliverance, Holy Soldier, Mass, Believer, The Crucified, Lightforce (early Mortification) along with non-Christian Metal and so since the 80's. I have always listened to every genre of Metal. Why did I just hear of this band a couple of months ago? I wish I heard them back in the 80's.

I have been finding quite a few bands that I had no idea of. Red Sea, Novella, Ransom to name a few. Such good stuff. The only problem is I like to have hard copies of albums. Then I work my playlists like crazy. I'll enjoy this to its fullest

I took guitar lessons from Mr. Enos in high school. He was an amazing guitarist, a local hero in Fontana, and a nice guy. I saw Emerald play live at least three times, once at the Troubadour. I will never forget him playing the solo to Van Halen's On Fire on an acoustic guitar 3 ft in front of me at my first guitar lesson. It's too bad he didn't have as much musical success as Fontana native Sammy Hagar. I would love to hear a David Enos solo instrumental guitar album.

Too bad this band never took off like others did. This is honestly one of my favorites in my collection

There's actually good reason for not supporting some of the music when it's pointing towards ecumenical religion. That's not biblical. Sad to say.

Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden would disagree. Believing that Christ died on the cross for your sins, has nothing to do religion. Religion is the biggest enemy of the gospel of the grace of God. Grace is 100% free!! No performance or works required. Just faith!

So put the belief and religion aside. Else we can start to discuss the impact of Christ, Belief and Religion on the lives of the victims of the holy inquisition, crusades and missionary work throughout centuries. So better stop your arguing, it doesn't work with me. Too much blood shed on innocent victims in the name Christ.

Hearing this for the first time. I was 17 when this came out. I would have loved this back in the day. That 80s metal sound is hard to beat.

Dang, this is some killer music. I just love the main riff of the opening track. Awesome vocals and kick-ass guitar work! These guys rule!

Great metal band I saw them play @ His 2 festival Fontana CA on April 9 1988 they went on right before Bride headlined……what a show I got the audio of entire emerald set sooooo good 👍

First song sounds like warrior's "fight for the earth" pretty cool

David Enos and Larry Phillips, practicing in a garage, south of Merrill in Fontana. Ossa Phantom? Been there late 70's. Steelworkers Hall? Even Larry was young then....kind of.

I go to the same church as Dave Enos the guitar player, his son Andrew Enos plays in a band called wildwood music along with my son and daughter in law (Christian music) Dave Owns and runs a music store in Yucaipa CA

Should clarify that this is not the same Emerald that plays heavy metal/ symphonic metal. That exists today. Thomas L. Winkler was their lead singer before leaving to lead GloryHammer.

I roadied for this band a long long time ago, at the time they had a drummer named Todd, I don't believe he's credited with any album songs, but he was the best drummer this band had, ever.
