    nice , the biggest issue with those emco turns has always been the control cabinet. I'd be worried about your keyboard though... if you can use a standard keyboard you might want to replace it with a flexible sealed keyboard from amazon (about $24 usually) shop environments are brutal for PC keyboards

    How old are these emco 120 lathes 1980s 1990s ? And how much would a used one be worth?

    @@vincentamiel7758 I made simple circuit with 3 relays, because masso is only giving forward and then back signal. Relay circuit apply voltage when no signal from masso is given so the turret stays in place and tools can be mounted in eather orientation.

    @@diferencial1234 very nice job! I have also have an emco turn 120 that I also like to control with masso. Can you explain the tool changer setup in masso in more detail? Did you used the original sensors?

  • @diferencial1234

    @diferencial1234

    @@ngaudio315 sorry, didnt see your message. logic for tool changer is in the masso. but you need to make cuircuit with relays so that voltage is aplied to the motor in opposite direction, when tool is not changing. so your turret doesnt move during turning. sensors need to be changed becauseoriginal sensors are npn or pnp, i forgot but you need other ones that are instaled.

    @@annaarze603 yes, motor is original. masso has implemented control for this turret. but you need to connect it through relays. when no signal from masso is given, you need to apply voltage to the motor so turret does not move when turning. 24v 1a is okay, motor does not heat up as some people said it would and holds turet in place strong.
