All my life (I'm 75) I have embroidered, but NEVER have I done anything quite so exquisite. The frame this woman uses reminds me of the old quilting frames we had on the farm when I was a young girl. It would be a pleasure to meet such a talented young woman, to tell her how much I admire her work. The choice of music/ family noises made me smile. Thank you for sharing.

Barbara Krejca: Beautifully said!. You are 8yrs ahead of me and yes I thought I was the only one listening to that sweet natural music 🎶. When I heard it, it was music to my ears and I said this is so natural. Why do people always apologize for natural music coming from within their houses/ children etc.. My grandmother had a quilt frame like that. She had it suspended from the ceiling in a spare bedroom and would lower it to quilt. Edited to say hers was more 2x4s clamped together than this one.

i am 19 now, and watching these gave me nostalgia back when i was little. i remember my grandma drew flowers on the cloth and then started sewing, after its all done she made me this pillow case and even the squishy pillow herselves. i still have it with me right now by my side, i miss you grandma.

I think you are meaning to say "crochet"? There are two types of crochet. One with a short needle about 6 inches with a hook on one end and the second type is called Tunisian crochet and uses two needles that look like knitting needles and have a hook on the end of each of them, sometimes having a cord or string attached to the opposite end. Items made using Tunisian crochet can sometimes look like they were knitted as the stitches are retained on the needle just as knitting is done.

I, too, have embroidered and can attest to its peace and quiet. It is the shading of varied colors that lends the beauty and authenticity to this project. She stenciled the basic outline but it is her choice of colors and subtle changes that make it artistry. I’m so envious.

I've never seen such a beautiful embroidery work. It's really painting with a needle. Many thanks for sharing this video!

It's like a painting...but a painting of threads..and it's so beautiful, the amount of patience, focus and dedication required is just mind blowing! I never knew you could have such exotic artwork just by using threads! Truly amazing!! I respect and admire your work!

I can't believe how focused she is, so talented!!! And I like looking at her she looks so peaceful... She reminds me of the place and people where I grew up. The description says this is from Vietnam, so I think your climate and environment should be quite similar even if the history and culture are not.

this takes skill and it is beautiful, but the problem with copying from a photo is that it looks like a machine did it. what is the point in spending so much time on it if it looks like from a factory machine and not from a human being? where is the heart and the passion if it is only pure work?

Such a lovely piece of work. I am 72 yrs old and remember my Grandmother teaching me how to embroider like this. I used to spend hours embroidering. Patience and the love of creating a work of beauty brings peace to one's soul.

I love your technique with this stitch . I’ve always just done one stitch after another in a row kind of but you leave spaces and come back to them which gives a much nicer and neater look. It would literally take me months to finish this . Yours is stunning

As a painter, I think what floors me the most about this is that you are using thread that isn't a consistent shade, that has been dyed to be repeating gradients. It's one thing to have the understanding of color theory to place these shades and tones in their proper places with thread directionality being almost a 'brush stroke', but it's so impressive that you don't switch to another thread for another shade, you flow through the gradient and place it accordingly. It gives so much dimension. Truly impressive.

А почему сразу прожигает?) Вы с друзьями не веселились в молодости ? Может быть у вас просто не было такой возможности и вы завидуете тем, у кого она есть? Я не против работы, но молодость не повторится. Или потом в старрсти рассказывать внукам, как всю жизнь с иголкой просидела? Печально это как-то...

I didn't like hand embroidery because it's time consuming but after watching this video I realise that even if it's time consuming we can ,if we love ❤ this , create wonderful pieces of art . Wonderful 💕💕

Beautiful REAL embroidery as I remember the women in my family producing, one of my Grandmothers won prizes for her work. Some moved on to tapestry or crewel work as they grew older and their eyesight began to fail ❤❤❤

I have never done embroidery before (only cross stitch for school projects, and even that was rare), so this is super amazing for me especially with how she does GRADIENTS. I can never have that much patience to develop that skill. Side note, I like the snapping thud sound whenever the thread is pulled taut lol it's quite satisfying

I admire Ms Barbara Krejca having embroidered all her life doing the embroidery.I think she is good at this art work,too. Undoubtedly our young lady artist is marked by her beautiful, ingenious, delicate handicraft.It reminds me of my first and the only one embroidery sixty years ago when I was a junior middle school student in Taiwan. My art teacher was a respectable old lady from Mainland China. I still remember she told the class that embroidery is popular in Hunan Province ,China. So she liked to introduce it to us. And the assignment took me almost a semester to finish it.
