I just started using Essentials this week. After watching several videos I found this one and I must say I have learned more than all the others put together. You really show how to use this software. You can see what you are doing and you explain it well. Well done and thank you! There is hope for us older computer challenged machine embroidery lovers.

Thanks Patty Anne! Your video is great! Explains things better. I would LOVE to see more videos on the other modules of Embrilliance. Would Love to learn more about adding BX fonts to the software also. I'm a "visual" person and need help installing BX fonts. I recently changed from a PC to a Mac and had tons of fonts in my software on PC, but haven't been able to find a good video breaking down just how to get them into my Mac software other than 1 at a time. That takes Forever!! Can't wait for more informative videos from you!!

I’ve found sheet protectors with 3 binder holes are really useful for protecting things I have printed out from the Internet regarding embroidery. This allows me to have instant access to the information I need and doesn’t allow my clumsiness to ruin the ink on my page.

This is an excellent video, so much good information presented in a easy to understand format. So many of the presenters run thru the material so fast that I find I have to rewind to understand what has been said. I have Bernina software but after seeing what Essentials can do, the ease of use and the fact that I can use on a Mac has make my decision for me. Thank you for the excellent video, I will be referring to this often. I look forward to your next installment. How about one about downloading and installing BX fonts?

Loved this! I am very new to embroidery and have an old machine with old software. I am trying to decided if this is the program I need. Can I purchase a design pull it into Embrilliance add a name under it, save it and then stitch it out? Do you have a video for that.?

Thank you very much for this video. Great to see some tricks and trades. So I went ahead and made a monogram and went to stick it out. I was using the free fonts already on embrilliance essentials. When I ran it on my brothers PE800 it didn’t really fill in the best. What should I be doing to make sure it’s outlines and filled it correctly?

Once you purchase and download, how do you bring your designs and fonts in?

It's too pricey for me😢 I'll need to just follow you and learn what I can. Thank you for being here!

HI Patty, in the video, you clicked the merge drop down to look for outlines of a heart and I noticed you had lots of options. You mentioned that we can look in the Embrilliance website blog to add those options. I went to the website and I didn't see it. I have Essentials and Enthusiast. Can you show us how to get those? Thanks

Patty can you do a video on how to use mix different letters in a text you want. Like take a letter out from a font and use another font instead?

I actually have both, but I only use Embrilliance. I find it to be so easy for me to learn and play.

I can barely see it on my screen, but it looks like u have a "style" box (under the available font list) where u r changing the "abc" to slant or whatever. I don't see that on Embrilliance Essentials as I follow along w your video. Can u help me? TY! I love your video!

Wow! I can’t thank you enough! Question, I moved some fonts into Essentials although I can’t find all of them. It says they loaded, but I can only find 1/2 of them, any ideas? I did it twice.

I'm watching this again. I got a design that is super cute from Creative Fabrica however it is a naughty design. It won't let me add stitches or sort the multiple colors. I finally decided that since I love the design and will probably use it again I'm sending it to a digitizer. Have you had this problem before?

Yes. Some designs are not easily changed because you do not have the 'working' file..

Can you do a search for it on my videos? Maybe try the Embrilliance playlist I have. I’m sorry that I can’t search while writing this note on my phone. However, I did create a video on just that recently. I hope you spot it!

I have owned the full Embrilliance suite for a long time. I purchased it for a purpose and jumped right in with what I needed. I have now decided to spend time learning the full capacity of Embriliane and have started with Patty Ann's Best Place to Start. So I am playing with monograms and notice I do not have the Style drop-down box. Has that been replaced to be found somewhere else? Or did I somehow destroy it at one time or another?

If you go to view/toolbars are all of your toolbars selected? Maybe you should reset windows in toolbars. Let me know if this helps.

I have the essentials but i cant get the properities on the right

Help! I’ve lost my “catalog” that came with the program. The built in designs. How can I get that back?

I have a question. My brother SE400 uses the 4x4 hoop. I do have the larger hoop. Will this program separate a project that is larger than the 4x4 into segments so I can reposition the larger hoop and complete the project? I hope my question makes sense. Thank you for an excellent tutorial.

I looked up in the help files and found this... Product: Essentials™ Split designs for several multi-position hoops, including the Brother/Baby Lock 100x100 machines, and the 14” x 14” Jumbo Hoop.

I'm watching first video and following along on my Essentials. Monogram discussion- you said click on style button but I don't see it? Where yours says style, mine says "place on bottom"

How do you correct a misspelled word after you already hit set

You have a manual?

What am I doing wrong??? Using Designs by JuJu words keeps running together. Although I put spaces between my words the spaces are disappearing. It sews out like all one word.

If you buy the essentials and later want stitch artist, can you just add that on or do you have to buy the whole program again?

Can you make a video using the stacked alphabet font? Not the stacked monogram font. I have it and love it but I showed it on FB and people asked how to use it and asked if I can do a video, I’m not doing videos and I told many people I’d ask someone who teaches well to make a video. I use a Windows machine, but you can also use a Mac. I use both my laptop and my desktop.

PattyAnne I am don’t have the word style next to the font space. It just says font. Is that a feature of Windows rather then Apple or is mine a older version of Essentials? I tried to update it but wasn’t one. Jane

When I do the multi lines I have to put a return so it goes to the next line then hit set. If I don't put a return in and hit set it does nothing. What might I be doing wrong or it that the way you do it. You did not say.

Yes, you can bring in an image such as a JPEG if you have stitch artist, level, one or above

If you know the name of the font, you can just type the first letter over there in the drop-down menu and you’ll be at that letter and it is easy to find them then.

I downloaded two different fonts to download file. How do I place it in Essentials?

After you extract them, just drag them over into the Design area
