In our first installment of EMBRACING NIL -- a periodic series that explores Name, Image & Likeness opportunities for Penn State student-athletes and the positive impact their involvement in NIL has on the local community -- various Nittany Lions across a sampling of different sports give a brief overview of Happy Valley United, the sole NIL collective for ALL Penn State student-athletes.
NIL opportunities allow student-athletes to engage with charitable causes and participate in business engagements, to build their brands while making a positive impact. The collective connects fans, alumni, businesses and charities with student-athletes while harnessing the power of Nittany Nation. Supporters can connect with their favorite Blue and White teams in 1 of 3 ways: memberships, tax-deductible donations, and corporate sponsorships.
This new facet of college sports allows Penn State student-athletes to focus on representing their school at the highest level -- both on the court/ice/field and in the classroom. Happy Valley United connects these student-athletes with a wealth of opportunities to earn compensation while furthering their professional and personal development.
