Kayz was actually far too lenient in his questioning. Kakwenza was defensive and evasive in equal measure. In fact, I was incredibly alarmed by his inability to string a mildly coherent sentence or indeed present a cogent argument against the political incumbent. One certainly expected better from someone of his literary stature. There are countless issues one can cite to exemplify the incompetence and shortcomings of the government. To my dismay, he responded with insults, the usual discourteous remarks, and a pathetic attempt at semantic distortion. Not only is this 'gentleman' disingenuous, but he is also prone to exaggeration. These are hardly a recipe for appealing to change seeking individuals like myself who are far less attracted to the allure of radical populism. Twagala bwino! How can one authoritatively assert that there has been absolutely no progress in 37 years? The statistical reality states otherwise. GDP, life expectancy, infant mortality, maternal mortality, literacy rate, FDI, etc. Government olina okugilwanya with facts. Love him or hate him naye Besigye, and perhaps Nsereko are the only political public figures who can present a formidable oratory defence of their position without resorting to futile nonsense.
