Emax knows what's good for beginner beginner very beginner fpv drone flyer good for gifts. I have the 1st tinyhawk and freestyle, ordered the 2nd version of the tinyhawk. And now I'm wanting to have this.

Thanks for your great review/instructions. I just got mine. I have never flown a drone before, or played GTA. I did get one extra battery. I’m glad it’s slow, being a nubbie. Being stuck at home, I will master it! Maybe. On the directions, it really didn’t explain the trim buttons very well for me, anyway. But you did, so thanks. For $102.00 USD ( with spare battery) it’s a nice kit. Nice doggy too. 👍 from Chicago.

Great review, I've been flying race quads for years now, so I am kind of out of touch with the beginner stuff. Looking for an easy to fly drone for my daughter at college who is bored senseless during the quarantine..lol. This looks like the absolute perfect set up for her. She's tried flying mine before but lost patience. Thanks again!! P.S. I often charge my lipos, 2,3,and 4s, up to 4.3v pc. It's a bit of a misnomer that only HV batteries can be charged to that level, though there's still some debate, I found from my research over the years, (and from being a retired firefighter) HV batteries come off the same line as regular ones. Some manufacturers flat out just stamp the HV on their batteries, while others tweek the resistance a little somehow, to make the battery more durable. Now if someone isn't comfortable with lipos or new to the hobby, I would not suggest doing this, plus, I also have a dedicated charging area and two lipo bunker set ups that are extremely safe. Charging them to 4.3 will give you a slightly longer flight time, and sometimes a tad bit of performance boost, but it will lesson the lifespan and amount of charging cycles of the battery, but it won't cause catastrophic results or thermal runaway like some claim. As always though, people should use techniques they are comfortable with and be safe above all, take care, happy flying!

very beautiful and interesting the drone, I liked it a lot. Say one thing, how did you do to film his fpv screen? Will it sd card? or did you have to do something different to film and put the fpv screen on the video?

I was also using a better set of goggles with a built-in DVR to record. They were FXT Viper goggles, and you can see them at 19:18 on the ground, to the left and behind me.

I bought one of these, I am a first time fpv, I love this thing in easy mode because I'm a right handed steerer... very difficult when I put it advanced position...

Can you review the E-flite UMX f-27?

Unfortunately no. The controller is proprietary format for the EZ Pilot drone only.

Sorry, this model goggles does not have a built-in DVR.

I have a question, do you have yo put ur phone in the goggles or does it come with a screen?

It has its own screen.

In the future I hope you can use that transmitter to connect to the tinyhawk.

Mine constantly drifts backward and to the right no matter what calibrations or trims you set. In order to fly it al all you have to constantly hold it forward all the way and it creeps very slowly but then you have to constantly fight the stick to keep turning left or it will drift right as you are going. Never able to use FPV because no one can control it long enough stay off the wall or ceiling.

I read a post that said calibrate it on a flat surface but pack up the motor opposite to the drift with thin card do it gives it more calibration

Mine acts the same as yours, I recalibrated about a dozen times but it's still does it to a greater or lesser degree. Every once in a while it will take off in a forward direction at full throttle.

How long dose it charge for

Does the EZ Pilot have an adjustable VTX like the Tinyhawk, or is it 25 mW only?

25mW only. It's mainly meant for indoor flying.

No, the provided tinyhawk goggles do not have recording capability. I used a separate better goggles with a built in DVR to record the flight video.

I just bought this drone brand new for my dad for his birthday recently and we're having trouble getting it to fly. Every time I plug the battery in to the drone the drone's led blinks green, assuming it needed to be charged we charged it with the usb pcb that came with it until the green led on the usb pcb turned off. Plugged it back in and the drone led still was blinking and would not fly when we tried to arm it. We've made sure the controller was charged, the headset was charged. If anyone has any solutions I'd like to hear lol

Why yes I do. It's a blast to fly, and IMHO still one of the best freestyle drones in its price range and class. However, as it's a larger drone, recommend flying it away from people as I do in its review video.

@@spam_eye yeah i eventually got an actual tinyhawk and i think the real thing i'd love to have seen on this one is just a steeper angle setting unlockable somehow, it can barely move sometimes :P

Save your money, I got to use mine for about half an hour and after crashing on about every flight, probably less than a dozen, one of the struts holding the motor to the frame broke. It's not really made for beginners, relatively fragile. Now it won't even lift off , motors seem to be only lifting on one side. Emax doesn't even have a replacement frame to buy. I've had this product less than 1.5 weeks.

What a shame to have brushed motors...when brushless motors are so much longer lived...usually.

Brushed motors fly beautifully are cheap and easy to replace.
