I enjoyed playing with you in Israel Chamber Orchestra 1972. Everyone loved your magical pyro techniques, such playing with bow wrapped around violin, using stick as percussion

Thank you for sharing your instrument. I did not know that there were any 4oo year old instruments in musicians hands. I THOUGHT MAYBE 200 TO 300 YEAR OLD POSSIBLY BUT. NOT 400. I would think a 400 year old instrument would be in a museum or non existing because the present violin design only goes back to approx 1590 to 1600. Anything earlier would be Lira DE brain and not a modern violin as we think of them. HOWEVER I am not an expert I have only. In the last 2 years read the Hill Brothers accounts of Antonio Stradivari. YOUR VIOLIN SOUNDS AS if it were on the cusp as it were of being Bresian .or Milanese. It sounds as if your the proud owner of a fossil. I'm surprised some museum hasn't hassled you out of it. Please don't misunderstand me I'm happy for you, and yes alittle envious, I just am surprised your playing on a 400 year old instrument. Happy playing and thanks for sharing your pride and joy. Maybe I ve. Learned something.

Stradivari learned from Amati. Why are there such differences? What did Antonio do that was so different? Better than Amati? I am not of that opinion. Thank you for sharing your video, your violin. I wish you would have played a bit more.
