Wes, this message is so spot on. With a new client we created emails, exactly as you described, sent it over for the client to review, and the comeback was basically, we want every email to be selling…we don’t need the stories, no one reads them!😮. We had two different emails, one for prospects, and the second for current customers. For the current customers, we took past articles, wrote compelling helpful and brief messages and then linked it back to the full article. Nope, we want to send out emails that upsell our clients….versus loading their lips with stories they can share with their friends over coffee, leading to referrals and repeats….I am tempted to simply share your video with them! Thanks for the message, restoring and confirming doing it the way you have described, for our other clients, consistently resulting 40-60% open rates and sales every time we send something out….even when we are not asking them to buy anything 😊.

@@stupidafackinggame no. While they did link to the article, it was a trigger for the email recipient to read further on the message by going to the website, where the full article was posted. Each email had a call to action.

Hey Wes. What is you advice about putting the top section of the dedicated landing page inside another landing page? For example: I have a landing page that intends to sell my product (it's a pet feeder). Would it still make sense to drive people away fron that page and inside the lead magnet landing page?

It’s kind of crazy to see how many people are sleeping on email in today’s day and age. Email has been my #1 marketing strategy for awhile now. And I was definitely late in the game when I got started. Thanks for all your awesome content as always!

I built and own a portfolio of 7-fig ecom businesses, and though I have in the past for previous projects, I’ve yet to build out substantial workflows to maximize netrev for any of these (been caught up with paid ads and scaling tbh) Wanted to retouch on e-marketing before chowing down with GPT, some caramel corn and a large coffee and creating a 180 day quadruple trigger workflow with 47 different yes/no forks 😂😂. This video brought me right back to speed and i actually learned a couple new things! I’m subscribed! Keep hustling bro! Much love

The plain text nugget is something I noticed competitors doing a decade ago and started doing it myself back then. This gave the biggest change in CTR and CVR than anything else. So, very good advice! Only gfx emails that should be sent are transactional in my opinion (if even lol)

I highly recommend upgrading to Pro for the forms (and a many other reasons) but you can also collect emails using a form through your email provider. Here's a tutorial about ConvertKit I made: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p3dsy4-LqZudZZM.html

I also just made a landing page copying your landing page style (hope you don't mind!) just today quickly using elementor. So, now I have four ways of collecting emails.

So the launchpad course does focus a lot of getting your lead magnet put together (for building your list) but its not so much about email marketing, as that's not in scope of what the program teaches, which is all about your website itself. HEy David, you're trying to predict the unsub rate? I wouldn't even worry about that honestly. Ppl will unsubscribe and thats actually a good thing. It keeps your list clean, and I don't really even know what could be a predictor of it. Maybe unopens?

Hi Wes, one of the best email marketing videos I have seen! A couple questions what do you use to scrub your list to clean them and I need to drip feed my list into my funnel so I get 35 to 100 leads per day to start for my new funnel and then scale it up what tools would you use to do that as well. thanks

Thanks! in terms of tools, you'd just use your email provider (mailchimp, activemacpaign, drip, etc) to clean out your list periodically. No other tool needed for that. And for scaling your list up, again, no tools, you jsut need to promote your lead magnet more and more to get more ppl onto it. Hope that answers your questions.

Wow! This is helpful. I have a question: When I write my email directly in Gmail (like you recommend), it looks REALLY bad. Why? Because the text alignment doesn't go along with the picture alignment. Depending on how big people's browser is, the text alignment will be way off from the pictures. And it is really hard to get gmail to look on brand because of such limited fonts and colors. What do I do about this?

Hey Josh, you wouldn't write your emails inside of gmail if you're automating them. You'd write them inside your CMS (mailchimp, activecampaign, etc)

Lead magnets are much more for service businesses not for products/ e-commerce. I’d just make some kind of discount offer for their email

Many email providers will require that you put in your physical address for transparency, yes. However, you can use a PO box or virtual address for that if you'd rather not show your personal info. Cheers!

Generally, yes. However, it depends on the campaign goal. You'll need a product page if you want to sell products. If you want to increase social followers from existing clients, then your email campaign will need to direct recipients to your social media profile.
