EM 2024: Dortmund will be the epicenter of the EM parties - The fan mile is ready
In Dortmund, preparations for the 2024 European Championship are in full swing. The city will host six European Championship matches, and the fan mile on Friedensplatz will be the epicenter of the European Championship parties in western Germany. Thousands of fans will celebrate together here, including spectators of the games in Gelsenkirchen, Cologne and Düsseldorf. The final preparations have been made for weeks: the lawn has just been rolled out, the beer tanks are already filled and the refrigerators installed. The organizers of the Dortmund fan mile, which is now called the fan zone, are working around the clock to make sure everything is ready. The huge beer tanks each hold 1000 liters, which makes serving much easier. Half a liter of beer costs €6.50 here, cheaper than in the stadium. The neighboring pubs are also well prepared and have filled their cellars with beer. From Friday, Dortmund's city center will be dominated by European Championship parties, and the fan mile will become the meeting point for football fans from all over North Rhine-Westphalia.
