gamechanger probably still largely underrated unit. It does with one button in 2 seconds what needs otherwise freaking chain of complicated processing
That roling techno kick envelope shaped sounds solid and punchy even thru my laptop speakers.

Sounds good, I want to buy one. Please tell me why auto gain is “on”? (I don’t understand it from the manual that says: Auto Gain is typically not needed in Dual Band operation and therefore not offered in this mode)

I'm thinking about getting into 500 series gear with a Cranborne 500R8 interface. Do you think this would be a good first module or would you go for a compressor ? It would be almost exclusively for synths and drum machines.

Get the Xpressor and Xfilter and maybe the Karacter for synths. I have all the Comp and EQ are used the most. That and two Neve 542. I've had a bunch of 500's. The ones l've listed have a permanent place in my 10 space rack. Good luck in your 500 journey. The most fun you can have for less.
