You attract that which you are. It's easy to blame the rest of the male population for not meeting your standards and seeing Elvis Presley as the one and only. An idealised version of a man. Not to mention a complete womaniser, a drug addict and tyrant in the corporate world an insecure control freak with a jealous rage and obesity problem / early death. Bless the man. but all you like to do is put down all men as opposed to looking at yourself. You just say everyone be like Elvis and all woman will be happy.

I remember watching "Elvis On Tour" for the first time and being struck by Elvis's confession that he suffered from stage fright. I was amazed that a man who seemed so self-assured onstage could be so humble and shy offstage. This interview reminded me of that, especially Elvis's response to the interviewer's comments regarding the massive crowd that gathered to greet him in Miami: "that's a hard question to answer...if I say 'yes' it sounds like I'm bragging and if I say 'no' it sounds I'm lying". Elvis remains, to this day, an excellent role model for celebrities who may need to curb their egos. Many thanks for sharing!

Dulce Seco This had to have been within a year of seeing him in Germany just before he returned to the U.S. My dad was stationed in Germany in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1960. Elvis was there from 1958 to 1960. We were about 70 miles from where he was stationed. Saw him the first time at his house and the second time, in uniform, as he was driving out of Ray Barracks. He saw us and actually PULLED OVER for us! What a great guy!

@@johnsteelman1410 Hey, John! What part of NC? We used to go to Hickory to visit family on my dad's side but that was such a long time ago, I don't even know if they're still there. The best I can recollect about Elvis (that was at least 60 years ago!), was after he pulled over, he got out of a black Mercedes he was driving, and we just congregated around him to take pictures and get autographs! All I could do was gawk at him I was so star-struck! I was only 9 or 10 at the time. Because we had stopped just outside the main gate, it wasn't long before one of the MPs started walking toward us and we decided we had to break up our little party! I wish we could have spent more time with him!

Elvis seems so harmless. So lovable but when he played sports or something physical he was more than competitive. He roughed house. In fact when Bardahl first met him at the roller rink Elvis gave him a few bad tumbles.Bardahl returned the same to Elvis, giving Elvis a concussion when he fell. Elvis also played games with real serious rocket fireworks.Once he and his friends ran through Graceland chasing girls who were harassing him and his fellas playing. He threw the fireworks, ruining his white carpet which was replaced the next day.He would drive down EP Blvd going 120 mph. He loved danger and he enjoyed being a man's man.His karate teacher said Elvis was very strong. His nurse said he was all muscles and it was difficult to give him a shot.A person does not have to be huge and muscle laden like body builders to be strong and muscular.Give me a good old construction worker anytime for the real strength department. Some people are just naturally strong.

I 💖 THIS interview !! Never saw this its great to see so many different parts of elvis' life . ELVIS had a really cool and interesting life yes, elvis was always a shy humbled man. The most interesting things were his talent for music, when he went into the Army and of course his movie career. Many people don't know this is that I think the reason why ELVIS was so shy & humble is elvis also had a stutter from a child till adulthood. 💖 U ELVIS !! 💖🕺🎸🎶💖

I don't know how, when or where you got this, but thank you for posting it here for me 😊! A 25 year old Elvis fresh out the army. If he only knew what lay ahead for him for the next 17 years. The movies, the comeback, and the mega stardom.

Talking about the lack of off the cuff footage, interviews, and even on stage footage. It was all by design by Col. Parker. Elvis was asked to do many things, and they were all shut down, because they either didn't pay anything or not what the Col. thought Elvis was worth. His thinking was if Elvis was seen on TV all the time, no one would go see him live. Tom Jones and many others have proved that way of thinking wrong. For instance, Elvis was asked to come on Laugh In, and do a cameo, "Sock It To Me", and it was turned down. I believe more exposure on TV would of done, only good for Elvis. Primarily in the health department. He would been more self conscious about his looks, and behavior. Just my opinion.

Thank you for sharing this awesome interview of Elvis. I would love to have seen more of this interview. Elvis was a wonderful human being and should always be remembered for the great things in life he did for others . I think some people only want to focus on the hard times in his life. Elvis made mistakes just like everyone else has at some point in their lives. He was as perfect as man could ever be with the exception of our Lord Jesus Christ. I really don't care if anyone disagrees with me. I have loved Elvis since I was about 11 years old. I am now 61 and still enjoy hearing his voice in song. Especially just hearing his talking voice and watching the interviews. He is an inspiration to me. Have a wonderful Day☺😇
