Very glad you enjoyed it! I love the 1977 version for the vocals but I totally understand how it's hard to watch him in poor physical health.

This song was the last hit by Frankie Laine back in the summer of 69. But he still performed unto his mid 90s. Although written by Marty Robbins, Frankie's version is what inspired Elvis.

@@InfectiousGroovePodcast You will be disappointed with Frankie's take. But somehow Elvis was impressed with it. You can look/hear it privately, but it won't go over well with your viewers. For sentimental reasons you might appreciate Frankie singing "That's My Desire" at age 92 --two years before his death. Remarkable.

Thanks to the ingenious Marty Pasetta for building the runway for Elvis to get to the audience & to Elvis who told Pasetta to build it when Parker said no. Written by singer Marty Robbins w-an interesting backstory.

This is a very intimate Song by Elvis a rare 💎 Gem. Elvis Presley "IT'S STILL HERE" 1971 Elvis At The Piano 🎹 kzread.info/dash/bejne/eY6X3KWiZbzHkbw.htmlsi=nkZn8wglJnFb7vG5 Eight hours into a recording session that started at 6 pm on May 19th, 1971, in Nashville, Elvis is sitting alone at the piano at 2 o'clock in the morning singing one of his favorites: Ivory Joe Hunter's "It's Still Here". He's been playing this for years at home planning to record it Sometime. This night, and understanding the magic of the moment, producer Felton Jarvis turns on the tape machine...
