Elvis' greatest role is Charro. It was his only non-singing role, and he got to be the kind of actor he always wanted to be. You should check it out!

Did you see how Elvis flung that hat on the bartender's head! He did that with Western Mutant Ninja accuracy! Elvis movies were delightfully fun & humorous....Good reaction!

Flaming Star and Wild In The Country were amazing western films. As was Loving You and of course King Creole.

LOL. They weren't "amazing" western films. Elvis fans are such sycophantic thumbsuckers. Desperate to make him into a real "artist', as opposed to pop icon who ditched what he was good at to be in a string of second rate, forgettable movies.

Thanks for your reaction.. Elvis done three serious Westerns. One of them with a beard Called Charo., Flaming star. And his first film was a western, Love me tender. Also, another comedy western called Stay away Joe.

Great reaction to an entertaining scene, in a movie that helped save Allied Artists going bankrupt, having chalked up big losses just before the release of the film.

When you don't have to spend that much money, it's easy to make it, lol.

Elvis is from Memphis not Nashville. 😂 As for the movie Tickle Me. It's actually entertaining and hilarious at times. It's kind of slapstick romantic musical comedy.

Elvis actually got tired of doing these sorts of films, and desperately wanted to be a dramatic actor. He wanted more roles like the role he had in "King Creole", but Col. Parker would always mess up Elvis's chances by asking for far too much money. Elvis was slated to play the male lead role in the 1976 version of "A Star Is Born", opposite Barbara Streisand, but Parker ruined that too.

Look! Someone with a real valid comment, rooted in fact! These other sycophants actually CELEBRATE the garbage Elvis put out during this period. HILARIOUS.

Love the shirt; the movie not so much! lol. Elvis movies are almost uniformly terrible, yipes. By 1965, he was as unhip as he ever was, they didn't even bother releasing the soundtrack albums to the 2 or 3 (!) movies he made in 1965, the Beatles were at one of their many zeniths and the wave of new music that came in with them had buried him. He had went to Hollywood years earlier and just churned out this Drive-In movie crap, mostly because his manager would not let anything of quality get near him. Not in music, not in film. So he was kinda trapped. That's why his 1968 "comeback special" is definitely a comeback. But in 1965, there could be no one less significant in movies or music than Elvis, other than as a myth from an earlier time. The movies always made money.....which isn't that hard when you make 'em real cheap! I mean, that set looks familiar, like it was probably used in every TV show and movie, like Monkees and Batman episodes, lol.

@@coollady2179 OP is afool. Elvis was never 'unhip'. He just wasn't doing live performances, so the world needed something else to scream at. (Enter Beatles, and ever other boy band.)
