Even though there wasn't much said, that was a great reaction. I never liked this kind of stuff when I was a little kid. I was into so much hard stuff. But as I get older, and I watch Elvis do this Frank Sinatra thing, it's just so masterful, and it's just so heartfelt, most of all, it makes so much sense that he would choose to do this and arrange it. Every time I hear somebody say well he never really did his own songs, man he arranged the hell out of everything he ever did and he chose the hell out of it also. He used his platform to do really amazing things and I don't think you ever tired of it.

You need to watch the whole Aloha From Hawaii, Live in Honolulu 1973 concert. I watched it live on my TV in my living room. It was the first solo concert ever shown all over the world. Over 1 billion people watched it. I am now 78 years old and I have watched the entire concert so many times that I have lost count. It never gets old. Elvis is....... indeed..... the King. He will never be replaced !!! By the way, there are 2 versions of this concert. The dress rehearsal with a full audience and they did the whole thing..... every second from beginning to end and it was recorded and on KZread. And then the actual concert a few days later which was broadcast live all around the world. There are subtle differences between the dress rehearsal and the actual live concert, but you need to pay close attention to notice the differences. They are very subtle.....

The reason Elvis is the king is because he did it his way.

I remember watching this live! I was only two! My Mom has a pic of the TV! I hope I can find it! I will never forget the day he died! I was six and my Granny told me when I got off the bus! Note the RED AND BLUE STUDS OF AN EAGLE ON HIS WHITE JUMPSUIT! It only renewed to me...why he is the KING and always will be! R.I.P. ELVIS your job is done...
