Over the years, Sir Tom Jones has shared many precious anecdotes about his times with Elvis, who tragically passed away in 1977 at the age of 42. Elvis was the King but knew the tremendous contributions of others. Without his sincerity, the recognition of evolutionary Artists would not be recognized. The true King honestly recognized their contributions, but Elvis was the only one to Bridge recognition of Black influence in Rock and Roll and the impact on all music, because he grew up in abject poverty and cut his teeth by singing in Black Churches at an early age. Unless you study His true History and origins, one can never grasp the True Elvis. He sung songs like: In the Ghetto and If I can dream, that Colonel Parker begged him not to sing, because these revolutionary songs were His true feelings. After recording "If I can Dream" Elvis was so exhausted that He got in a corner and laid down in a fetal position and cried. This was His contribution to Martin Luther King, but at the time, few understood His deep Love for the man.
