I was a young teenaged girl when Elvis played his “1973-LIVE-concert ‘via satellite’ from Hawaii. But I remember it well. “Via Satellite” was a HUGE deal! How could we not watch it?! The very thought of watching anything “LIVE” was crazy, but Elvis?! And I was a very sweet 16 when Elvis died. We heard it on the radio that afternoon. I was getting ready for work, that day, for the ‘night shift’ at my summer job. I remember where I was, where I was standing and the colour of the carpet I was standing on. We, and the world, seemed to go into shock and disbelief. It was unreal, too unbelievable, too unthinkable! Too sad…. We just felt he couldn’t die. He was the King, after all….. it’s only now, as an older gal of 62 years, that it’s inconceivable that someone with that much talent could die, so very, very young. I could have kids that age.😭😥

A Professor Of Music At Harvard University said that Elvis was such an Extremely Gifted Vocalist because he had Vocal Registers normally found only in Professionally, Voice Trained, Opera singers. He closed his article by saying that Elvis could hit Hi ''G '' Notes that would make a Baritone Opera Singer turn Green with Envy ! Consider the Following.: Elvis could and did Sing Bass, Baritone, 2nd Tenor and 1st Tenor. Also, Elvis successfully sang Rock N' Roll, Jazz, Country, Gospel, Broadway, Blues, And Rhythm and Blues. And Elvis is the only Performer in the History of Recorded Music that is a Member of Four Music Halls Of Fame !Rock 'n Roll , R & B , Country and Gospel ! No One else In the History of Recording has ever come close to matching the Versatility, the Vocal Range, and Number of records sold of Elvis, over 2.5 Billion Worldwide ! Elvis gave 1,684 Concerts and over 6,000 Live Performances during his career as a Entertainer Super Star, a astonishing and amazing achievement not surpassed by anyone ! And over 2.5 Billion Records sold Worldwide ! The Highest Selling Single Artist in the History of Recorded Music ! AND the Only Entertainer in the World that is a member of 4 Music Halls of Fame ! Rock 'n Roll, Country, R & B, and Gospel ! And 21 other Halls of Fame ! That's Why Elvis is the KING of Music !!! Reply

Being a guitar player and musician myself, I never really paid that much attention to Elvis growing up. Man, did I miss out. I just didn’t appreciate what he was able to accomplish. I just wasn’t into that early rock sound and I sure didn’t care for “dancing “ around on stage. I look back now and I’m just astounded by what a poor boy from the south was able to accomplish! He literally changed the face of popular music at the time and became the biggest star, in music and movies, to ever live! And there will never be anyone else who will achieve the level of super stardom that Elvis Presley achieved, ever!

This was a great biography of Elvis Presley The Kings rock ‘n roll his music is what made Elvis the greatest singer of all times. But his love for God and his faith was very important to him in his life he had a God-given talent that showed . His love for gospel music it’s some of the best gospel music out there got a Grammy for how great thou Art Album. His generosity that a lot of people really don’t know about Elvis new that he couldn’t take it with him so he gave it away while he was with us for that short period of time he loved seeing the expression on someone’s face that just couldn’t afford it that’s what made him happy.45 years later he is just as big now or more when he was alive what a gift that God gave us Elvis he has Brought so much joy and happiness . With his music great vocals the love he showed his fans and wonderful humanity. Thank you lord for the gift. TCB❤️🎶⭐️🙏

Now watch Loving you, it’s the closest thing to Baz Lerman‘s Elvis’s early rise to super stardom. This documentary is hitting all the high points, I love it! Take your daughter to Graceland. Go during Elvisweek. Its coming up. Third week in August. Memphis becomes Elvistown. If you go and I’m being dead serious here catch up on your sleep because you won’t sleep Elvis week. There’s too much going on, shows, events, late night jam sessions, going out to eat at 3 in the morning, you’re on Elvis time. I hope you do go, my first trip was with my daughter. My second third was with my bestie we had fun but there was Elvis magic in the air the fourth trip to Graceland. We started out with dinner and Gospel music and a movie on the grounds of Graceland fun! Then things got crazy we found the Stanley brothers,Elvis’s step brother’s, their party was the best party in town! They were some funny fun loving guys. I know Elvis was the same. I will go to Memphis again it’s just to much fun.

There`d be more tears than soup in my cup if I`d told Elvis he couldn`t sing. That has to be about the greatest catastrophe in the history of the management of popular music. But to be a little more serious for a while, I seem to remember hearing ( perhaps from The Memphis Mafia ) that in the last two or three years of his life all Elvis wanted to be was Elvis - again ! Which is rather sad. RIP, Elvis !

STILL do and needs some SERIOUS airtime NOW!......for me he was a once in a lifetime man.

TYVM for you're beautiful biography of the STILL👑of Rock & Roll Elvis Presley! I have seen many different biographies here on KZread but yours I even learned more than the others! I was only 9 when he died so I didn't know him but my mom was watching one of his last concerts & she was crying & told me that he just died! She was a very huge fan she even had pictures of Elvis throughout the house😍,I sing his songs all the time on the Smule singing app, as does everyone else! I love endless songs by him! It's Now or Never is my very favorite followed by Suspicious Minds, Don't Be Cruel & I Can't help falling in Love & countless others! I believe he is the only one that can sing any type of music that's how exceptional his talent was! 💯👑🥇👑

Films on Elvis Presley are an extended period of reflection, remembrance and, perhaps, a re-evaluation of an artiste at once intensely familiar, and, yet, so layered in legend and lore that the truth of who he was can seem almost beyond knowing. Films on him are a synthesis of turf that have been covered in countless other publications.

Elvis had so many great songs out, it’s hard to just pick one. It’s not Christmas until I drag out Elvis’s Christmas album. His rendition of Blue Christmas is unparalleled; no one has ever come close. I’m lucky to have all his original albums, my mom grew up listening to Elvis. She was one of those young school girls who was screaming and fainting in the isles…😂😂😂. I guess if I had to pick one favorite song from Elvis, it would be One Night With You. I don’t know if it ever made the charts but, I know it should’ve. Santa-clause is Back in Town is my favorite Christmas song of his.

This was extremely well produced. Pack with little known facts, twists and turns in childhood, to he’s beginnings in the music industry, to his legend being unparalleled. It’s like this type of greatest is just fate but in reality it was great ambition, dedicated loyalty to his craft, working like a crazy man.

Wow Thank You... Lifetime Fan Of Elvis since I can remember as a kid! YOU really did your research not many know about Texarkana ( Twin City bordering TX/ARK ) ** I think that one old photo was at our Arkansas Municipal Auditorium? that's my hometown and his Cadillac catching fire around Foreman Ark ( Story goes by my elders which I have a photo of Elvis performing that night running late because of the fire He was in plaid not having time to get dressed up / Elvis was always very Stylish ) Elvis performed at the Arkansas Municipal Auditorium 6 times from 1954 - 1955 ONE time Him & Johnny Cash were there at the same time and that's depicted in "Walk The Line" Johnny Cash Movie! The Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport LA is only a little over an hour from Texarkana so Elvis Scotty & Bill would do the Hayride and to Texarkana and on through what is called the "Rock N Roll Highway" due to Elvis...Highway 67 ... taking you through the Ark-La-Tex I have photos of Elvis performing in Texarkana and the pics of this burnt Cadillac I think Scotty's website has tons of pics during that time --- Wow This WAS SO Fantastic and "Factual" You hit on most everything!! My Dad just passed away of Covid last year age 73 He Loved Loved Elvis Had all his LP'S & Records & Dad Sang & Played his 63 Fender Stratocaster to Elvis songs!! My Dad back in the 70's had Elvis Sideburns LOL.. I have all of my Dad's Elvis LP's now & Records #TCB #ELVISNEVERLEFTTHEBUILDING

Elvis was my son's 3rd cousin. My son has been gifted the "singing" voice of Elvis, but refuses to get up onto a stage and sing. LOL I never met Elvis, personally, but had a few opportunities to do so. My husband and Elvis grew up together and spent a lot of their teenaged years together, but he told me that when Elvis met Priscilla, he didn't hang out with him anymore. Elvis became distant towards his closest friends and family, and their relationship grew apart.

Love this, and I like how you showed like actual scenes from the movies, it makes it more fun to watch! One thing I didn’t necessarily like was that in the beginning you left out the part where he was influenced by black culture and he was like the only white kid in his black neighborhood and how he would often go into black churches back then. I feel like it’s very important to point that out because that’s where he got his inspiration and moves from. You did talk about his country roots and him listening to black music which I liked but I needed a little more on his childhood. But that’s all, I have subscribed and can’t wait to see more videos you post, great job!

Real - Yeet - I agree with you. He left out the fact that a big influence in the beginning were black singers in churches in Mississippi and Tennessee. He also liked the 50's singers like Roy Hamilton, A Crudup, Otis Blackwell, etc.. 1. "I hate being called the king of rock and roll. I consider my friend Fats Domino to be the king of rock and roll." -Elvis Presley in 1969 “The Lord messed up on me in two ways - he didn’t make me black and didn’t make me a bass singer.” - Elvis Presley

According to Peter Guralnick - A Rolling Stone writer and Elvis's Official Biographer (Last Train to Memphis and Careless Love) he said that according to Vernon, his farther the story regarding Elvis wanting a bicycle or a rifle is a lie. Elvis wanted a bike - NOT a rifle. When a rifle was offered to Elvis he said "I don't want to shoot no birds Pa" Vernon said Elvis was a gentle boy. Which is true, if you take a deep dive into his life.
