It brings tears to my eyes that the industry sucked the life out of Elvis. EVERYONE wanted a piece of him till he had nothing left to give. It still breaks my heart.

I agree...it's like the world wanted something from him...there are pics where he looks as if he wears the world on his shoulders...Col. Tom Parker was no exception...he drove Elvis to his grave.

ONE OF THE WRITERS SAID WHEN ELVIS WAS UPSET ABOUT M.L.K. THEY SAT IN A SMALL ROOM AND ELVIS WAS EXPRESSING HIMSELF WHY CAN'T WE WALK TOGETHER ARM IN ARM , THIS WORLD IS IN TOO MUCH PAIN. HE SAID ELVIS SHOULD OF GOT CREDIT FOR IT. BUT YOU DON'T SEE THAT INTERVIEW ANYMORE. THE MAN GOT USED. GOD BLESS HIM FOR INTERNITY ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

I was 10yrs in 77 when the of rock n roll King passed.. I had wall to wall posters of " the king" i had all his albums.. My parents took me to my first concert in Cincinnati ohio and it was Elvis 😎 i was 10yrs old lol i had a pioneer home stereo system huge speakers and all my Elvis albums including his Christmas songs. If you came to my parents house to visit me or my parents you would be entertained with Elvis music .. I would turn up CC Rider.. If i went outside in the driveway to shoot basketball with friends i had speakers in my window listening to THE KING.. The one thing that amazed me as a kid at the Elvis concert in Cincinnati ohio was how Elvis had so many female fans who were so emotional at the king on stage.. I saw women fainting lol... Women were sick! Cryin jumpin up n down rows back at the sight of elvis I had a kid crush on Priscilla presley wow! So beautiful! The day elvis passed i was devastated i refused to believe it happened.. I was sick the rest of the school year... Elvis Presley left us too early... RIP Elvis Presley " The King'

My sweet Mama God rest her sweet soul was a waitress in Columbus Mississippi. Elvis came to town to play and came into the restaurant with his manager after the end of his set. My mama found him a room at the adjacent motel that he could go hide out in because the girls at the concert had just ripped at his clothes to point he barely kept his pants on. Mama was acquainted with his Aunt and Uncle, so she didn't sell him out when girls came looking for him. She thought the poor guy needed some rest away from the crowd. She always loved his singing and owned just about every movie he ever made. That man Loved his mama.

I was 17 and I remember very well at night when it came over the radio, “Elvis Presley has died” it was shocking but I didn’t know enough to know ge was having such hardships. It’s a sad story and I don’t quite understand why his dad didn’t fight more fore him. I understand Elvis was a grown man but since he felt helpless against that evil crook Parker, seems loved ones would have stood with him to fight. I know they didn’t know what to do but lawyers step in and fight for you. Just thank GOD Pricilla was a strong willed person because it seems she was the strength behind something legally being done to that maggot Parker

Elvis was just one of those who made a huge impact, nobody seen it coming back then and had no idea what he was capable of. He was a trendsetter & was way ahead of his time, an entirely different character that nobody had ever seen. It may seem normal or silly at the fact that his hip movement was “vulgar.” It was just different times, standards & morals. He was so generous and just amazing all around. My mamaw had cancer and was admitted to a Memphis hospital in the 60s and hed came to visit, kissed her on the forehead, wished her to get better and paid her hospital bill on his way out. ♥️

A lot of people here in Shreveport had involvement with early Elvis. Recently, a swimming pool he donated to a boy scout camp out in the country (at the time) was demolished to make way for a Kroger parking lot. Slowly, his friends here are dying off, and places he frequented are disappearing. A woman from here who was also on the Louisiana Hayride owns Sun Records now. She and her husband bought it long ago. This video is full of great pictures that I have never seen before!

@@joanie3452 i’ve always been told it was a YMCA camp in fact they still own the property they sold part of it to Kroger for the new shopping center which has been really awesome and they are now building an actual YMCA location at the ruins of the firmer camp. The camp had been abandoned for decades and the pool I think for even longer, I don’t think there was much left of the pool when they decided to reinvent the whole area. This area didn’t have any grocery stores or similar businesses for miles but neighborhoods were starting to move in so it was keep the crumbling pool or bring some community to this area.

I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. This way is definitely unique and I think it will remain so. Denis Herger

The guy behind Elvis in the uncut version of the shape shifting video I saw turned green.
