Im originally from Memphis. My Dad went to Humes with him. We lived in Whitehaven and drove past Graceland all of the time. I'll never forget the night Elvis died. They broke into programming and announced that he had passed away. My dad almost fell off of the couch. Years later, my wife, kids and I got the privilege to take a tour of Graceland. Walking in the front door was so surreal. All of us realized that we were standing in the home of one of the larger than life legends to ever live. I loved Elvis's music and his humanity. I watched a concert performance of his once and during the show one of the fans raised a sign reading " You are The King " Elvis saw the sign and very respectfully stated " There is only one King and He is JESUS Christ " That sealed my respect of the man right then. To confess Christ on stage in person to thousands of people and, to the millions of people watching by satellite wow !!!!! I know in my heart Elvis is with THE KING OF KINGS.

That still gives me the chills every time I hear Elvis sing that song !!

From what everyone else said it was someone else who went up to check on Elvis. Also Elvis kept and read his Bible daily. Charlie Hodge said no matter where Elvis was he had a Bible with him and he read it more than any other book. Elvis was a true gift from God and I wish everyone would let him R.i.p. !

I’ve never in my life time heard of a artist, as great as Elvis, suffer so much,to make people happy,Elvis put everybody else first,and I’ve never known of such greatness and kindness and such never ending love for others in this world as genuine pure love as Elvis had and gave to all, Elvis is a true example of Gods Glory,and no one can take that from him,no one,and no one could endure the suffering he went threw to take care of everybody,and make everybody happy,my god people can’t even make each other happy or look after each other for more than a day,and here we have a example of pure love and how great thou art,when God created Elvis,and Elvis did God proud of what it is to love and love millions and help with out conditions, Elvis did it his way,and he did it perfectly,I love Elvis with all my Heart,and I Love God for putting him here so he could make us happy,and that is something to be proud of and something never ever to forget,and if anything drove Elvis of the edge,was that book,released over his death, seriously it’s disgusting releasing a book about there and his privacy, so they got fired,thinking what are we going to now,I know let get a book publish,that’s got to bring some money in,stabbed in the back from your own so called family,as they keep saying,the sheer betrayal,how can you write and publish a book,so personal about someone who fed you clothed you shared everything with you,it’s the biggest insult that can ever happen to someone,at least Elvis knew what loyalty was to his staff,if the shoe was on the other foot,NOWAY would Elvis have publish a book on someone else,and there private life,he was his own worst critic,a perfectionist,a sheer prison within oneself,and I think he knew deep down,what kind of people he was surrounded around,so he kept them close,but still they shit on him,and he did not deserve that,as for the addiction,god knows what they gave him,to change his,brain patterns,even he didn’t know himself,the outcome,I’m shocked Elvis carried on as long as he did,he cared about his fans,and I think,that was what kept him going,they made him feel of some worth,can’t believe the most beautiful man had a hard time even truly loving himself deep down,I’m so glad,as a child his mom took him to God,and the meaning of having belief,and prayer,I think that’s the only real peace he had found,that couldn’t be distorted,abused,or taken from him,may Elvis R.I.P,always remembered for how perfect,and truly loved you are,just as you are,missed loved and never forgotten xxx

The bible has always said that Jesus was coming back, well has anyone ever heard the song by Collin Ray, "What if Jesus came back like that?" If you haven't heard of it, look it up on KZread and give it a listen and then think about Elvis and all of the things that he did for us while he was here in his short life too like Jesus... after all, Elvis Presley did in every way he could, tried to get people to listen to the lord's voice and his words in his way of preaching to us and that was through the words of his music brought from his heart and soul!!! Take a listen and get to know a ETA Elvis Presley tribute artist by the name of Cody Slaughter. Look him up on Google, Facebook, KZread, and research him... he is the youngest ETA winner in history. He dearly loves Elvis and at every show he says at the end thank God for Elvis and we or I love you Elvis Presley, God bless you all and thank you very much for coming... it hurts him to talk about Elvis ' death even though he was not even born and never got to meet Elvis... Cody Ray Slaughter is as down to earth and humble and loving and caring as Elvis was... he clearly proclaims he's NEVER trying to be Elvis Presley, that there is only one Elvis Presley but he is paying tribute to the wonderful man who Elvis Presley is, was, and always will be!!! I think that everyone needs to stop talking negative about such an incredible human being who loved and lived life to the fullest as well as doing unto others as he would have them do unto him... and probably even better. That's why the estate was only worth 3 million at the time of his death because he believed in spending it because no one has ever seen a armored car following them to their graves!!!

He was an amazing man with a awesome way of giving back and appreciated all his adoring fans!!! His voice is like no other ,and those eyes and his infectious smile 😁 his gospel is so touching and full of emotion!! All around a man like no other to walk this earth! Only Jesus !! There will NEVER be another even come close to filling his shoes!!

Yes there were many who were jealous of Elvis. I truly believe that He was chosen and that God Blessed Him with his southern charisma and charm, His beautiful looks and gave Elvis a glorious voice that could sing anything. He had such a generous heart that noone else could compare to him. It is heartbreaking that He left us so soon. R.I.P. ELVIS. You will never be forgotten and there will never be anyone else like you.

I met Elvis' stepbrother Rick Stanley in Birmingham, AL. He was an Evangelical who went around and spoke at churches and schools about his time with Elvis.

Im shocked this guy is presenting himself in such a positive light.

omg! This gives goosebumps! I love ELVIS SO MUCH . AFTER I BUMPED INTO HIM IN '73 AT THE INTERNATIONAL HOTEL, as I went to throw out some bottles of champagne to the dumpster in back of the Hotel. On my way back a door opened and I almost got hit by the doors. He said "excuse me" and so did I. When I looked up, it was ELVIS!! I FROZE, AND COULDN'T EVEN ASK HIM FOR A KISS OR AN AUTOGRAPH. HE THEN GOT INTO A BLUE MERCEDES BENZ STRETCH LIMO AND THE MEMPHIS MAFIA BEHIND HIM. I DID GET TO SEE HIM IN 1976: AT ANAHEIM STADIUM, WHERE ALL HELL BROKE LOSE THERE AS HE BEGAN TO SING. THE SECURITY COULDN'T DO A THING, ELVIS TOLD THEM TO LET US BE. HE SAID THE STAGE IS TIO HIGH , THEY CANT HARM ME. HE THEN WOUKD WINK AT USAND SMILE. HE DID THROW SOME SCARFS: BUT I DIDNT GO NEAR THAT. WOMAN WHERE FIGHTING OVER THEM. HE KNEW HE WAS SPEACIAL, HE WOULDOOK AT US AS HE SANG THE LOVE SONGS. ❤ I LOVE YOU ELVIS!! FOREVER!! Yes , this guy should have more respect and loyalty to the man that gave him so much and treated them as his real brothers . The way this David talks is like his all into Jesus .? Not one person in Elvis group was more into Jesus’s then Elvis . Elvis was a true believer always read the Bible and when ever he could he sang gospel music in his concerts and movies . Elvis mother died at 42,the same as Elvis.It was in 1958 when we were in basic training in Fort Hood,TX.

No one could tell Elvis no. His drugs are proscribed by doctors, to Elvis they were medications. People even dumped out capsules and filled them with sugar but he know how the drug worked. When he didn't get the feeling he expected he figured out what was happening and chewed out everyone. He told Linda Thompson they were his medications and he needed them. The only person who could have saved Elvis was Elvis.

the 60 s Elvis was much different then the 70 s one. the 70 s one lost his zest for life. Elvis was very heartbroken he believed he failed at love a marriage. ,,,,,a his career he was very lonely a he felt he stood alone. He wanted to go where no one stands alone. Heaven.

Elvis spoke to God every day

I respect anybody's walk with God, as I have my own walk with Him, but we must be careful that we don't JUDGE people. We can't say that a person has not made peace with God before they die. And quoting a bunch of Bible verses does not make a man/woman righteous or saved. If you have them in your mouth, and not in your Heart, then you are lost and just as the good book says about the blind leading the blind. Remember people....don't judge anyone.. just because you run to church every Sunday for church services, and Wednesday for Bible study, it doesn't make you "saved"... I can sit in a garage all day, but that doesn't make me a car....

Hello from England I was 12 when ELVIS died. I have been a FAN ever since. Having watched a lot of videos about ELVIS and his "backstory" it has made me think so much more about the time that has passed, even since the live shows -50 + years. We think back to when he was in his teenage years. He had his own "style", long hair, different clothes etc and he was bullied for this. By the time he was 21/22 HE HAD MADE IT BIG and had RICHES BEYOND COMPREHENSION. He then reinvented himself for the films and apart from the first few he GOT FED UP WITH THEM. He then reinvented himself for the 68 COMEBACK NBC SPECIAL He then reinvented himself for the 70's By 1971-72 HE HAD DONE IT ALL, and he needed something different to do. Nobody could save ELVIS apart from ELVIS. He was worn out and had lots of other medical issues - that we know about Glaucoma and his colon was abnormal If he had lived he would have had to reinvent again. The late 70's musically was changing again - singer/songwriters and ELVIS did not write his own material. In an interview he gave to the Press at MSG in 72 parts of it were telling -about being able to get good material - or the lack of it.

That’s was a beautiful, soul moving story🙏🏼❤️ god is good & it’s so turn he is all we need

You sure seemed proud of yourself David Stanley. Fast talker ,uh!! I believe Elvis was greatfull and trusted and loved our God every day of his life. You were only a child when he first knew you and despite the fact he did not like it when his dad married your mom, he welcomed you in the family anyway so you should be more respectful towards Elvis and leave all the negativity out of it. Please let Elvis rest in peace.

I have just started to research Elvis, watched some of his films. I am also born at the same time as him.He was born on 8th Jan and I 9 january. I am younger. His story is full of sadness. He gave to everyone, yet was the lonliest of men. He was used, abused. With so many needing him as their banker and to live. Many of us know what it is to be in a room full of people and feel alone. I grieve for the way he T died. A.perfect beautiful looking man. With a voice that was blessed. I am trying to find real books about him. If anyone knows of truthful book(s) let me know titles. He was blessed with parents who raised him well and it seems he never forgot how he was raised and respected others. His is a life partly filled with so much sadness The Elvis tour has just arrived in London Uk. Where i live.

I think that Elvis had a special relationship with God. Elvis always kept a Bible by his side and it has been said by many that he read alot but read the Bible more than anything else. He never did a show or concert without including a gospel song. I believe He was Blessed by God.

Great video, sure that this made me hear THE KING crooning "Funny How Time Slips Away" and makes me feel sad but otherwise brings fond memories of me growing up and older with the MUSIC of the MAN WHO STARTED IT ALL. Thanks indeed!!!

Having been a fan of Elvis' from a time before his passing, I've never heard about Mr. Stanley being in the house at the time of Elvis' death. I would love to hear from Mr. Esposito who he remembers being there.

David Stanley, you said you were a Christian, then, you talk crap about Elvis and his Dr... They're gone, no longer to give their point of view on your comments, you don't talk bad about the Dead... I am willing to say that I am guilty of the same thing, but I'm trying everyday to become a better Christian and not do or say things that can hurt people or their families... NO where in the Bible does it say not to speak bad of the dead. If a story can be shared and it helps people then share, good or bad.

My brother perfomed If I Can Dream ‘68 Comeback by Elvis Presley at Rock Against Cancer at Eastchester High School recently so he bought a white Tommy Hillfinger suit and then he and his friend Cochiro performed Piano Man by Billy Joel. The only way thing that I wished was in the background during the If I Can Dream 1968 Comeback remake was Elvis’s name in red led lights

Btw, you went all over the world with Elvis? Presley never sang outside the US except when he was in the army in Germany.Again - what are you trying to pull?
