None Compare to 1972
Very powerful version, clearly going through his range on the reprise. For me personally it isn't as well sung all the way through as THE version from Greensboro April 72, IMHO that is perfection from start to finish. Also think the Version from June 75 in Mobile is also a great rendition.
Yes it is the best version indeed. The Reprise is the reason for this. He hits the highest most phenomenal notes I ever heard him sing this song with, just beautiful!!!

This is a very good strong version with a great reprise, he also did some very similar strong versions in 73 in Vegas aswell my favourite from that season being the August 31st dinner show..If you want to be technical then i think the 1970 version from "Thats The Way It is " is definitely the best and for me it beats the Elvis On Tour version hands down!!...Another favourite version for me is Mobile, Alabama on June 2nd 1975 that is another strong tour version...😃😃👍👍🎸🎸

I enjoyed it and loved hearing how into it he was but it doesn't top the 1970 version for me. The reprise was awesome though.

@@bradhuskers big reason Aug 11 is perfect it was mixed and edited in studio elvis sung it great but that was film for official release so they sweeten it this version from 1974 Sept 1 is from a soundboard that is more raw regardless his voice and range come through fantastic

A very good version but not the best. He was obviously under stimulants here because the song is rushed. Compare this to a live version from 1970 and you will see the difference. I love Elvis and I've been studying him since I was a teenager and this is definitely not one of his brighter moments.

Elvis was on stimulants for every show. But yeah, something is different. Maybe he was just in the mood and felt good. I think for TTWIS he concentrated on having a perfect version since it was being filmed and recorded for an album. This show, he's just pushing the boundaries and having fun
