@@tbartels9821 I read the story about this song, Elvin Bishop of course wrote it but didn't feel as though he had the chops singing wise to do the song justice, so he asked one of his backup singers to do it and that's how we have a very young Mickey Thomas singing this song and I think Mickey hit it out of the ball park, but Elvin's guitar licks and his overall playing I think he's awesome but this song Mickey killed it, there are a bunch of much better live ones than this one I found a few their definitely on here

The song cut across America and hit every heart's sweetspot. How this impeccable song and vocal and band did not hit number 1 is simply tragic. Every kid knew this song if they were music lovers. It was certainly in contention for the song of the decade. I loved it than and I love it even more today. This performance was live folks and it sounds like a studio recording. You can't touch this song with anything today in my opinion because it's iconic!

The extra you put in all the lyrics in the extra humming little vocals, it’s brilliant a lot of soul nobody ever will ever be able to sing, fooled around and fell in love like Mickey Thomas just like nobody will ever be able to say he ain’t heavy. He’s my Brother, like the guy in the hollies like nobody will ever be able to do behind blue eyes like Roger Daltrey and one of my favourite songs is Jane Mickey’s just a natural talent with a great vocal depth, and makes it look so easy

I was one of thousands who bought the album "Struttin' My Stuff" as soon as I heard this song on the radio, and then discovered that Elvin Bishop sang lead on most of the tracks. No other singer ever did more to sell another man's album than Mickey Thomas did for Elvin Bishop's "Struttin' My Stuff."

What a voice. I grew up on this song but, astoundingly, this is the first time I've seen him live. I thought, maybe, how good he was in the studio recording was a fluke and he couldn't possibly be that good live; was I wrong! Chills went through me. I wasn't prepared for just how good he was, he was even better live. His stage presence amped it up exponentially. Again, I say, what a voice!
