I know a lot of people tend to prefer the earlier albums of their favorite bands, but from where I'm sitting, all my favorite metal bands (Behemoth, Meshuggah, Equilibrium, Eluveitie, others) tend to mature into their best selves right on the cusp of middle age and have released their best albums and material very recently

Who cares how hot she is? She definitely lacks the emotional projection Annas voice is able to deliver. Same thing is true for their new drummer. Technically damn good, but he wasn't there from the beginning, so he's missing the small nuances and stylistic mannerisms that made Eluveitie Eluveitie. You can only play so many sexteenths flute melodies until they become stale.

Inis mona. Thousendfould, king or even better rose for epona. That last one has the old female singer anna in it and it is super catchy and well ballanced. Youve got a new sub although this vid is from a time ago.

I got into Eluveitie early on when they released Slania and they seem darker and more heavier with their latest 2 albums, origins and the current 2019 album as well. Hopefully they'll continue to impress as their first 2 albums have gotten old but every once in awhile I'll listen to them and itll sound good but this new material, they seem to keep pushing the edge. Rebirth is just so amazing, seeing the video was just amazing. "King" is another great one and you'll also love "Worship". Its intense stuff.

This is the new line up. I saw them last year live, they are awesome live! The old drummer Merlin was dismissed for creative differences. The Hurdy Gurdy player/singer Anna Murphy and one guitarist Ivo chose to leave the band with their friend and started the band Cellar Darling. They got a new drummer and Guitarist but got two people to replace Anna, a new Hurdy Gurdy player and a new singer. You should check out the song Call of the Mountain. Anna is great on vocals in that one. 😁

Eluveitie is one of my all time favorite bands. So good. They had a lineup shakeup recently though. The song you reacted to the first time was with their original lineup. This is one of the first with their new lineup. Good stuff though nonetheless. The other album that they released this year is more acoustic though. Definitely very different and more emphasis on the folk instead of the metal. But it was still great.

Saw these crazy fuckers last Saturday, they were incredible. I will say that they seem to have modernised their style a lot for this track, which is a good thing, since it also serves as a showcase of the new members (3 of the members left last year, and they got 4 new members in return). Love the experimentation and out-of-the-box thinking.

It 's a shame that the half of the group was replaced last year (1 guitarist, the drummer, and Anna in hurdy-gurdy and singing). But these three formed another band, called Cellar Darling. While they (obviously) have some similarities with Eluveitie, they do bring in a breath of fresh air, and their album is fantastic as a whole! Please check either one of their 2 first official videos, "Avalance" and "Black Moon". Both songs are quite different though! - Oh... and yes... you should definately check more of these bands!
