I am so sorry that this happened to you. I have a friend who had a similar experience with his family. He now lives in Thailand and loves it there. I think that he may never return to UK. It is sad that there are people out there who can't or won't accept anything that is out of the ordinary. Glad they included Tiny Dancer. I always felt that this was one of his most underrated songs, most Elton listeners I’ve met don’t know this one for some reason. I remember I first heard it in the movie almost famous, in the bus scene, was just blown away by this track instantly.

lottiebelottie there were SOOOO many great performances in 2019, it’s actually crazy. I see it as a good thing, just wish he was nominated for a Golden Globe at the very least. Sir Elton's impeccable piano playing comes as no surprise, genius is genius after all... but I'm shocked at and delighted by Taron Egerton's voice! What a lovely duet!! ❤

Honestly the fact that he sang this good while nearly in tears (and justifiably so) is so impressive!

The young version, sounds almost like the original young version. Surely talented, and not to mention the guts this guy has to sing in front of such a legend. Respect, and infinite kudos.

Unfortunately Elton sings the vocals in the lower register harmony these days. Only a handful of artists still sing in original keys & sound great-Steven Tyler & Bryan Adams to name a few. Bon Jovi also voice is not what it once was by still a great act to see live.

I thought the movie had issues with pacing and storytelling in the scenes. BUT, I can honestly say Taron Egertons portrayal of Elton is one of my favorite of all times. His performance made that movie for me. Even more so than Rami Maleks performance. And the fact the he sang all of Eltons music, God. Taron is easily the most underrated actors right now.

@Hitler The Academy, traditionally, forgets about the films early in the year and focusses on the films coming out as Oscar bait at the end of the year.

Having listened to the old vinyls, it’s surreal how close his voice is to Elton in his younger days. There’s no matching his old sound but it’s so incredibly close. Awesome to see them preform it together like this.

How very generous to share his life and the stage. Indeed, how wonderful life is, while you're in the world. Thank you, Sir Elton, for all the memories.

Taron Egertron is going to be a household name after "Rocketman" comes out. I'm not an obsessive Elton fan, but I'm dying to see this film. It looks like he knocked it out of the park with his performance. If this live clip is any indication, we're going to see something phenomenal.

@@oxheymackem I would mostly agree. What I meant is that after this people who have never seen Kingsman, Robin Hood, etc., will know who Taron is. I'm pretty sure a large portion of the U.S. was unaware of Rami Malek until Bohemian Rhapsody came out. Now he's everywhere.

This is just absolutely incredible. Tarons strong start, ended with his and Eltons powerful finish. And that piano solo at the very end was just perfect.

Taron’s voice is so beautiful 😍😍

I love how passionate Taron Egerton is about this whole project

I doubt it...he considers himself Welsh. Compared to English or Irish actors...The American film industry does nowhere near as much promotion on the films they (Welsh) are included in.

How beautiful Taron sings. Elton looked at him like a proud father.

When I heard that first "count the headlights" the first time was the point where I fell in love with him! And that makes this so special to me! ❤️

I actually got legit goosebumps when Elton joined in. Taron is such a humble kid, but he is a seriously talented lad, and to play Elton just like Rami taking on Freddie . That takes absolute balls of steel.. Us Brits of a certain age are a bit precious about this... Jesus..........who gets to play the part of god.....sorry I meant David Bowie... Now that would be something..

Jus saw the movie and loved it! Great music. I never knew how famous Sir Elton John really was. I’m first gen born in the US so a lot of music is still new to me. I had the similar experience to Queen after that great biopic too. I just downloaded tons of Sir Elton’s jams. Love, love, love his music. Maybe I’ll pass down these songs to my kids someday 🥰

Many people don't realize that Elton's piano skills are just brilliant. What a duo, what a performance

TARON sings it with genuine Emotional Connection.. Soo Sweet .. Guy's..

Taron sounds just enough like Elton to pull it off, but distinct enough to be a good singer in his own right.(If you didn’t know he played Elton, you wouldn’t guess it, but if you did know, you could see it.)
